After playing Halo, Battle for Middle-Earth II and Age of Empires II on my laptop - all at high settings (which was quite playable) - I have been left wondering whether the upcomming RTS game Supreme Commander will run on my notebook PC at all.

I know the ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M is integrated and is crap compared to dedicated graphic cards, but does anyone think it will be possible to play it on my budget laptop?

Doubt it, Supreme Commander's graphics requirements look like they would be pretty high. I don't think it has officially been released (requirements), but by looking at some of the screen shots, and being that it is supposed to be the most graphically elegant upcoming RTS on the market, i think you might be SOL.

i don't know for sure but i do know it can play star wars empire at war on medium settings and if you zoom out far enough on it it's very similar to the supreme commander map that you can zoom in and all the way out and also star wars empire at war also has that cool movie view thing. Unless supreme commander is a huge upgrade from BFMEII and Empire at war i bet the x200m will at least be able to play it on low settings

If those three were playable on your laptop then Supreme Commander will run just fine. Despite being a newer game the technologies used in Supreme Commander are older then they appear and will require less from your video card. Btw what do you mean by playable?

Sorry for dragging up this old thread but I sort of had the same question. I haven't tried it on my Nvidia 6150 go but I have played the beta on my desktop and it eats resources like crazy. I think the bottleneck is probably the 1gb of memory but it just chokes during battles and heavy unit counts. I have an amd fx-53 and x800 pro. I hope supcom will at least run playable on my v3000z but I'm not so sure anymore.

I tried looking up a few articles and got varied responses, official requirements haven't been released. I even saw one that said that you needed atleast a 7600...

A 6600gt sli setup strugles (a person I know ran it on his) so I doubt that the x200m will cut it.

yeah it works good on mine actually.... i can play it on medium settings but in the big battles it starts to suffer so i normally play between low and medium settings... that's why i am hoping i can at least play CC3
