Supreme Commander 2 vs CnC4 Also are there people playing online?

Im deciding between these two games and I only play online multiplayer which one has a more active community with better online gameplay?

 

Though I can't vouch for the online communities of either game, I thought I'd pitch in a little.

I currently own SupCom2 (as well as SupCom + FA) and can say that the gameplay is much like CnC 3 (which I also play occasionally) except for the existence of the experimental units (which were reduced in awesomeness from what they were in SupCom1) and the need to gather two types of resources (mass and energy versus just tiberium in CnC3). On the note of resources, I remember reading something about the tiberium gathering being eliminated from CnC4 which was disappointing to me. This coupled with the game's DRM scheme (constant internet connection required - even a split second interruption and you're out no matter what you were doing) put me completely off buying it. Just something to think about.

Also, in looking at the Steam stats Steam: Game and Player Statistics, at this time CnC4 has no visible quantity of people playing it whereas SupCom 2 has 1308. Of course, some of these people are likely playing SP right now.

supcom2 > CnC4

but don't buy any of those because not even supcom2 is good.

Just wait for starcraft 2 or buy another RTS.

 

yup definitely getting SC2 since i m playing the beta but i have a hard time waiting and I like to try a new RTS so..

 

from what i heard Supremem commander 2 has graphics problems and CnC4 is old so i would get SC2..
