I just installed FA and it seems to be massively slower than SupCom, I can play that at native res (1280x800) and medium settings, but FA, even 1v1 it will be horrible even at the lowest level, anyone know about a patch or anything, Specs in sig.

I played the original on my Asus W3J which had a ATI X1600 with 1 gig ram. Then played Forged Alliance on my new Dell XPS M1730 which has dual 8700M's in SLI and 2 gig ram.

To be honest I thought the performance would be better considering the spec of the new machine. It'll slow down a fair bit when 4 people are laying waste too each other!

But unfortunately I can't make a comparo for you due to the difference in machine spec... If I can spare the time, I'll try installing it on my W3J. First I have to wipe it and start again... She's getting real full of crap these days.

    Get some newer drivers Hawkeye.
    Laptopvideo2go.com

That MIGHT help you out with performance.

I also noticed a little bit of a performance hit with the new SupCom. I think it is due to the enhanced visual effects they have added. Too bad I don't have an enhanced computer to go along with it. :p

Gamespot review did mention that the minimum requirements for the expansion were actually higher than the original so reduced performance in the expansion despite the same settings seems to be de rigeur for most players.

I've tried the forceware drivers but i really don't like the instability, also they actually decreased performance in Supreme Commander.
