Supreme Commander on my comp?

Hey, I just wanted to know if SupCom will play on this comp

Acer 5102
turion 64 x2 TL-50
1 gig ram
X1100 ATI RADEON XPRESS (which is supposed to be better than 200m)
120 gb hd


my comp can play games like oblivion and Company of heroes just fine, battlefield was a really low 15 fps, so i didn't buy it but seriously shouldn't an RTS be on the low side of the requirements list?

Will it work or should i upgrade my pc???

No that won't play on your computer. At least the beta won't, unless they fix the real version to not be so hardware demanding then i don't think you can.

You might be able to turn down the resolution and play everything at low though. But i'm sure they will patch it up before its released.

 

Will an X1600 256mb run it?

i don't really care about how it looks just as long as it plays, but I'm going to remain optimistic because they still haven't optimized it so yeah... thanks.

 

Should play it with around 30-35FPS at 1280x800 with no AA or maybe 2xAA
(i think you can only change AA right now in the beta).

edit: i'm just guessing of course. im comparing it to my x850xt which can only play it at 50FPS at 1280x1020 with no AA. Like 16-22FPS on full AA (whatever AA that was im not sure it doesnt say in the beta)

 

Yeah, mine does on medium settings. It runs smoothly, although at times there's a little bit of slowdown. I'm sure the final version will be a little better as far as optimizing the performance.

 

Question: Will a Asus A8jm with go7600 512Mb, and the rest as my sig run this game? I really hope it does.

 

I tried the 3.8 beta w/ crack this morning. playing in skirmish mode really strained my system. after a few minuets I was down to 3-10 fps even with all graphic options turned down. this is means 2 things, 1: the game is not optimized, but its a beta so thats expected. it will get much better by the time they release a demo. 2: since the graphics turned turned down that means its CPU limited in skirmish mode at least. haven't tried true online yet.

Nvidia 7900gs
T2400
2bgs ram

next on the list to try to improve performance, getting rid of these **** non updated 84.xx drivers and getting somethign in the 95+ range

 

wow 3-10 fps with those specs huh... i hope optimization is well enough to play on my comp

I still can't believe that an rts is so advanced... it just shows how good of a game this could be....
