Hey who's surprised!
anyway check out the launch trailer. I have to give them credit though, it's FUTURE warfare. It actually looks different now.

Wow, this looks really bad. I vowed to never buy another Treyarch game, after the abomination of Blackops, and this has solidified that decision.
-
Why are they riding on horses with tanks around?? smh
-
-
Trailer looked like trash, sad since Treyarch's WW2 game was excellent IMO (the best CoD after the first 2... hmmm maybe MW1 is in there somewhere too
)
But take a look at this SP interview:

Honestly, this has actually generated some of my interest in the game - choices? Choosing missions? Commanding stuff? In call of duty? Preposterous!
Will be nice to see how they pull it off, but am definitely waiting reviews/gameplay vids first. -
Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
I dont mind the game being linear, if the story is good, even rpgs are linear, they have to be otherwise how are you going to tell the story?
BTW Im not talking about narrative techs, but rather the need for a main history and its slight deviations. -

lol i only played upto COD2 lol First one was the best played united offensive or whatever at Internet cafe all the time...was pretty good at it. That was really the end of my gaming days of glory.
When will steam start a new bundle for COD...sigh. I refuse to pay more then 5 dollars for a game...averaging my good ole 2.5-3 bucks per game still -
2025 and the graphic still looks like crap
-
i hate cod but i still buy it for some unknown reason.
i did quite like the look of this though. i do like treyarchs single player campaign.
id actually like to see a mp reveal just to see if they have taken any ideas from cod community to stop or cut down camping -
Ugh... I can't believe that even after MW3 I'm actually interested in this.
I've always been sort of a futurist, and the entire setting in the trailer cries out to me. Even if it's still using the same engine. Again. -

After hearing this it seems they might be finally snapping out of the Linear run and gun movie scene gameplay.
Mark Lamia sounds like a guy with vision, so I'm hopeful to see some gameplay improvements (not even worried about graphical improvements). -
A Xbox 360 uses a GPU similar to a X1800 but i agree, this is not very impressive.
But for me CoD is basically Quake for the kids.
I wont buy it right away but il probably pick it up on a steam sale so i can play in singleplayer, even if it might end up short. -
-
I've actually enjoyed all of the CoD games. The worst one was CoD 5. I just finished playing MW3 over again. I've played all of them through at least twice. I won't pay the initial price, but when it drops on sale I'll get it for sure.
-
My sentiments exactly smh...at least this game looks silly enough to borrow from someone to play over a weekend but....I just can't get over the horses smh -
if it indeed uses the inferior COD4 engine, I will this time protest it and won't buy it, enough is enough
-
Treyarch have a propensity for flashback missions anyway, so that's where the horses come in.
I'm more excited for the apparently RTS experience you can possibly get in the game, but lets see how they pull it off. -
I'm actually interested in this one. After Modern Warfare 2, I stopped playing CoD games.
-
Is this meant for the PS2 or something? The graphics are a joke.
And horses. -
It actually looks interesting with the futuristic warfare. But I'm torn. Black Ops was so horrendously ported that I pretty much made up my mind to not give in to the hype. I will have to check out how it runs on other people's rigs and all that first before I decide to get it or not.
-
Futuristic warfare? Talk about another gimmicky mechanic that they can spotlight and throw into multiplayer to take even more skill out of an already exhausted franchise. Sad thing is, it will be the highest selling release of all-time just like every other cod game.
-
How can someone in their right mind find this appealing and actually spend money on it? Knowing Activisions background and Treyarch's inability to bring a stable, fluid, experience to the PC ( ala Blackops on my desktop w/ 460 gtx running like crap -- and looking as such).
This looks a lot like a free-to-play game. -
Time is money for public companies. Rehashing stuff from previous games and adding incremental improvements to it with each release is common. There will definitely be quality compromises after its release because developers are pressed on time, and will continue fixing it after its release. That's why they're always broken on release followed up by *big* patches. Oh and there's consolization of PC games.
Surprise! It's a new Call of Duty! (Black Ops 2).
