I have a 23" samsung lcd tv that my desktop is connected to via vga. I have a laptop with ONLY vga and svideo outputs. The desktop is crystal clear at 1360x768 but when I try to hook my lappy up via svideo the max resolution I am allowed to pick is 1024x768 and the samsung doesn't like that resolution...the picture is extremely fuzzy. Is there someway to force the laptop to output at 1360x768 via svideo when extending?

I have the same issue with my 42" Panasonic LCD TV and windows XP. It defaults as 1024x768 and when I try to force 1360x768 (or something like that, cant remember) it flickers and reverts back to 1024x768. Everything, text, picture, etc. looks fuzzy. Laptop is in sig.

That's a limitation of S-Video. The maximum resolution that you can use via S-video is 1024x768.

Ah, drat. There goes $15 wasted on a cable!
