Does anyone on here still play swtor?

I was just randomly thinking about it today and haven't played since about February/March. I was wondering how the game is now and if there are still a good amount of subscribers to the game.

I've been wanting to get back into an MMO, either WoW and it's new MoP expansion or just jump back into SWTOR.

Ahhhhh that's a damn shame. I saw somewhere on their twitter that they were due to go F2P soon...

Man it was fun while it lasted for me. Oh well...I guess I might just have to go back to WoW...

I would just wait till it goes F2P to try out SWTOR. From what I understand there's just not enough to do once you've finished leveling. Same problem that plagued Warhammer.

It also looks terrible. Watch some streams on Twitch and you'll be amazed at how terrible it looks.

Well, his alternative is WoW... which looks worse than most games that predate it. Even at release WoW was fugly at best.

SWtOR is so much better looking it isn't even funny.

Haha i agree both SWTOR and WoW aren't exactly the best look graphically, and even then I'd agree with Kernal and say that SWTOR looks much better than WoW. But yeah, both games are where most of my time has already been spent and I'm not really looking to level up from level 1.

Then again, coming back to these games is just an idea i'm toying around with. Oh, the thoughts that a mind wanders to when bored at work...

Well, if you aren't locked into WoW or SWtOR, you could always give Guildwars2 a try.

It is very different from most MMOs, (especially WoW) but is Game-of-the-year worthy IMHO.

I haven't played for a while, but I still try to keep up since I plan to return whenever they get around to releasing the HK companion. You've only missed out on a couple of new operations, free server transfers, a server merger, and some quality of life improvements with the big one being group finder. Yeah it's a dying game which will go F2P some time this Fall, but if you think you'll have fun it won't matter how many players are left as long as you have people to play with. My only concern is with some of the bugs you might run into which I think is related to the recent server merges that created "super servers." They do have F2P up to level 15 for now if you want to get a feel for the current population of the game.

Like Kernal Panic said, I play wow, which looks brutal in 2012, textures especially. That said, comparing an 8 year old game to one that's less than a year old and cost hundreds of millions of dollars is silly.

Arnski, I recently returned to wow and I am enjoying it greatly. I would say that GW2 is worth a try too. I enjoyed it at first but it just ultimately wasn't my style. I might pick it up again when they release more endgame content.
