Would there be a huge difference in my gaming experience with modern games between the two?

    T5470 -
    1.6GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB

    T5250 -
    1.5GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667Mhz FSB

considering that the fsb and clock speed of the 5470 is greater than the 5250, there will be a marginal difference between the two :)

Yea, I know there's gotta be a difference, just wondering if it's a big enough difference to spend 50 bucks canadian on.

Since gaming experience primarily depends on the GPU, a few percent difference in CPU performance won't be noticeable unless you use a stopwatch. I don't thank that extra cost of the T5470 would diliver value for money.

Vostro doesn't have media bay for 2nd battery, which I'll be needing a lot. And thanks John, I guess I'm $50 richer now.

If the T5250 couldn't play a game then the T5470 wouldn't be able to either. There's a small difference between the two, a difference not worth spending $50 on as John said.
