I have a 14.1" Lenovo T61p which is a very nice computer - maybe a bit too nice =/
I am attempting to play Diablo II; however, my graphics driver for the FX570m does not support 640x480 resolution (minimum 800x600.)
I have looked for a long time on driver sites and on these forums and can not find a driver that supports that low of a res, so I am stuck playing on -w (windowed) mode, which isn't very great.
I have three questions:
-Is there any way to maximize the windowed mode from the shortcut command line? ("c:\program files\diabloII\diabloII.exe" -w) is what I have currently.
-Is there a driver our there that supports 640x480?
-Is there a program which enables 640x480 to be stretched to full screen on any resolution?
Thanks,
Gluck

just, you know, out of interest - why would you want to run a game at such an abominable resolution?
-
It's the only one it supports?
-
Right click on the game icon and click on the "compatibility" tab
Then click "run 640x480"
I hope this works -
I tried doing that (and doing all of the options under the compatibility tab) but the problem is still that my monitor can not output a 640x480 resolution image.
If you're wondering, the error is "Error 22: A critical error has occurred while initializing DirectDraw" and the report from running dxdiag is "An error occurred while setting your display to 640x480 mode with 16-bit (high color). Your computer may not support this mode. This is not necessarily a problem, though some programs may not work without support for this mode." I have looked at resolution tables for the FX570m and it does support it, but my current driver doesn't have that as an option >.<
