If the notebook has 2gb of ram and a 256 mb nvidia 8600m gt, will there be any big difference between these cards?
The T7500 costs 170 dollars more than the other. This is not a big deal to me, but if the T7250 allows me to play my games at close to the same settings, it would be nice to save the money.
I am hoping to be able to run new games at close to highest settings ('cept Crysis, lol). Will having the lower processor stop me from doing that?

No the processor does not have much to do with gaming.

I would recommend getting the T7500 as it is a superior-performing processor to the T7250. Some games may benefit, but it would mostly be your multitasking capabilities that would be positively affected by the faster processor. It also helps to future-proof it.

The T7500 is $170 more than the T2750. Is this a good trade-off for the extra processing power, or should I spend that 170 on something else?
As I stated, I'm really hoping to be able to play my games at close to highest settings, and if I can do that with the T7250, and spend the extra money on some games, that would be nice. -
Not at all, that's wayyyy to much to pay for such a minimal increase in speed.
-
i wouldn't spend that $170 for extra ghz of that proc... when more demanding cpu games will come out, it wouldn't matter anyway, as ur video card would still be more of a bottleneck.
-
well if the 2.2ghz has a 4mb cache will the 2.0 ghz only has 2mb then it make a diff, but its still not a big leap...LMAO the only reasoni went with teh 2.2ghz was so my total price would be 1500$ so i could use tha 400$ off dell coupon
