I didn't find one searching, so I thought I would ask; is there a TF2 demo? Or does someone have a code to let me try it for a few days? Thanks.

Don't bother, after all the useless updates and community content the game should be called Trade Fortress 2.

Cool, but that doesn't help me try it. Thanks though, any one else?

Well, I think me and 100000 players will agree with usapatriot. Me and my friends left TF2 just because of that reason. VALVe screwed TF2. It's either Hat Simulator 2 or Trade Simulator 2. I hate going into a server, and have some one ( or more. Main point is that all servers I go in, there is some one doing it ), with a binded key, spamming the chat with "I BUY HATS AND SELL WEAPONS! HEAVY'S USHANKA FOR BONK HELMET", and so on. So annoying...

To your question, no, there is no TF2 demo.

But I still love playing it, all the madness never gets boring.

There are three-day trial codes, but I don't have any to give. Might try asking in the Steam TF2 forums.

As for the game itself...haters gonna hate. It's still as fun as it ever was.

    Agreed.

Also, either just wait for it to go on sale for $10 again, or some BestBuy locations have TF2 available for $9.99 and then you just enter your serial code into steam. If you can find it at BB, you don't have to wait for it to go on sale at the Steam Store.

The hats have gotten pretty ridiculous, but it is still easy to have fun ingame, where people don't actually care much about the hats. Much of the hat bragging occurs in trading servers and on the Steam forums; if you find a good server people will be more focused on playing the actual game (at least in my experience).

That's been my experience as well. There's a few servers I mainly use, not many problems in those, just ppl who want to have fun with the game.

The thing about TF2 is, if you don't like the store and updates with all the hats, just don't worry about it. There's nothing stopping you from going in and playing the game like it was played before the update, just don't pay attention to all the extra crap and find servers that aren't plagued by copy and paste traders, they're not that hard to find.

i believe there are 3 day codes around.

Tf2 is amazing and fun regardless of the hats. Like tmaxxtim said, you don't need to worry about the hats really. Its not like they change gameplay at all. Adding a bit of player customization doesn't render the game bad.
