Occasianally when loading a new map it exits to my desktop and gives me this message: Can't load lump 53, allocation of 10178813 bytes failed!!!

Hey Arquis, unfortunately I don't have any solution for this but just wanted to say that you're not the only one with this weird bug. I'd also like to know how to solve this problem.
One thing I have noticed though is that this bug seems to appear more frequently on my machine since the last tf2 update from July 29. Dunno if the update has something to do with it or if I'm just mistaken -

Here is the solution
You need to check a few things.
Follow the steps.
Hope this helps

i think that's actually a memory allocation issue. it probably has something to do with your virtual memory. i had an issue like that, quite possibly the same exact error message, and i looked online and it said it was my virtual memory. i didn't think about that since i put all my games onto my new hard drive so when i looked at my hard drive's virtual memory, it listed like 300 some meg of page files dedicated to the disk. i think it's recommended at least 1 gig of virtual memory by valve. you can go to steam's website and put in the error message number into the search bar under support and it will spit back out the way to fix the problem.

Ok, thanks guys, will try this when I get the chance.

Yesterday I started getting Page File errors when joining servers. NEver happened before probably due to the recent update. So I increased my page file and that fixed it. It's possible that might solve your problem. Try increasing your page file.
-
Well, I changed the page file size to 2000mb min, 3000mb max. Would that be fine?
-
Try 4Gb Min, 6Gb Max
-
Yeah it was still doing it, I'll try 4gb, thanks.

It's still doing it >_<. I also have SP1... I'm out of ideas.
