SWEET! That sounds like such a good idea. I wonder if you have unlimited baseballs.

A scout standing still is a dead scout, and I guarantee you'll have to stand still to use it. Only class I can see it affecting is Heavies outside of lucky shots. Maybe snipers too since no good Sniper has Scout as even top 5 targets. Looks like a good idea though and I'm sure it will be fun.

Where are you seeing anything about cp_steel?

Yes, another reason to get back to playing TF2! It's been a while :(

I'm not sure if I like the baseball thing.. I guess I'll have to see it in action to determine if it's good or not.

I've complained about every TF2 update so far but after actual game testing I get convinced right away that they're excellent. I find I still get plenty of use out of my Ubersaw (Kritz too), I use the Backburner a lot (Air Compress Pyros are great Uber blockers), and I regularly eat Sandviches and Natashca is a great defensive weapon.

I thought all those would be useless but they all ended up having their uses. So I'm going to trust Valve on this one.

Well said. I usually think the same thing before playing with the new updates, but then find that the gameplay still remains nicely balanced. Hopefully this one is the same.

The only horribly overbalanced update was giving the Pyro 250 health with the Backburner. Or it might have been 225, I can't remember. A Pyro could head on rush a L3 sentry and take it out, or circle strafe it from around a corner. Plus you could take out Heavies 1v1 in a hallway even if they saw you coming.

After fixing that, it was level again.

I welcome the update, although I may not use all of the unlockables.
I chose the Blutsauger & Ubersaw for my Medic, Backburner for the Pyro (MPC), and Sandvich and KGB for my Heavy loadout.

Count me pumped. I haven't played TF2 like I did in the fall but I'm sure I'll fall back in soon. I don't even play Scout very often but its just nice to get an update to the game. I'm still holding out for a Soldier update.

Of course he can't double jump. Its too hard to be that athletic and play baseball at the same time.

    Unless your A-Rod!

I'm pretty excited about this update. The loss of double-jumping isn't that huge to me; the only place I ever really take advantage of it is getting onto the bridge roof on 2fort.
You really should try the other classes. They all balance quite nicely, and they're all fun to play in different ways.

If you get good at Demo you'll all of a sudden notice you become a Medic magnet. Every Medic wants to heal a good Heavy and good Demo.

I really love playing an offensive heavy :). Its even better if a good medic follows you around.
