Thank you for contacting Texas Instruments.

It sounds like the driver for the cable may not be installed properly. Follow the steps below to manually assign a driver for the cable:

    - Disconnect the USB cable from your PC. Leave the cable connected to the calculator.
    - Right-click on My Computer and choose properties.
    - Click on the Hardware tab then click on Device Manager.
    - Open the USB controller by clicking the +.
    - Turn the calculator ON then connect the USB cable to your PC. A new device will appear on the USB controller.
    - Right-click on the new device and choose Update Driver. The Hardware Update Wizard will appear.
    - Click on "Yes, this time only" then click Next.
    - Click on "Install from a list or specific location" (Advanced) then click Next.
    - Click on "Don't Search. I will choose the driver to install."
    - Click on Next. A list of available drivers should appear.
    - Click on TI Educational Handheld Device then click Next.
    - If the Windows Logo message appears, click Continue Anyway.
    - Once the driver is installed click Finish.

The calculator should now be listed as a TI Educational Handheld Device under the USB controller.

CAN SOMEONE PRETTY PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THE HECK THE HARDWARE TAB IS IT SEEMS THAT THE TI PEOPLE HAVE THIS TAB UNDER MY COMPUTER, AND I DONT!!!
