Been having a really good time with this one, found it a couple weeks ago and have been absolutely loving the beta. The full version was released yesterday. It's a helicopter sim based on the ARMA 2 game engine by Bohemia Interactive, and has a story/career mode, multiplayer, free flight, and challenge mode.

Definitely won't be for everybody, but for those interested in simulators or helicopters with a story, aviation, etc it's a really fun change of pace.... check it out!

I picked up a copy on STEAM but it's available most places.

Wow cool! I'm not a helicopter person, but this game looks interesting.

Interesting! The helicopter flight sim market is woefully undeveloped. I mean, there's DCS: Black Shark (combat flight sim that's realistic to the point of brutal), Enemy Engaged + mods (combat flight sim that's semi-realistic-yet-accessible), but I think this is the first I've seen that's more along the lines of Microsoft Flight Simulator, that's pure flight simulation, not combat flight sim. Not my cup of tea, but good for them!

Yep, this one is no where near as hardcore as Black Shark, but is a step up from heli's in BF3 etc... To me they feel a bit better than the FSX heli's. It's an advanced flight model based on the ARMA2 heli's, so is very approachable but they added some more advanced features such as blade stall, ground effect, etc. Also full flight controls are supported... stick and rudder pedals with Track IR work great, but even a 360 gamepad works pretty darn well.

What's cool about it is that since it uses the ARMA2 engine, you can land the helicopter, pop open a door, and get out and walk around. Even outside inspections are part of the experience with visual inspection points that when playing the story/career mode will actually save you money in repair bills if you notice problems early. Of course there's always the option of sliding to the passenger seat, popping open the door, and bailing out with a chute while flying if it gets really bad ha.

Landing on skyscrapers and ships, picking up cargo or SWAT teams, it's definitely a refreshing change of pace.

Damn this looks really interesting. I'll check for some more reviews, but I may buy it if I like what I hear.

Ok you have persuaded me to buy this one. It's on my list :D. Gonna grab it when there's going to be a sale :D. For now PMDG 737 NGX + FSX keeps me busy :D.
