    Ok so tf2 is my favorite game. And I play it everyday. But Idk what settings I should run it at. people say they added so much to the game and didn't tweak it enough and the reccomended settings went up. here are my specs

    2.53ghz dual core
    4gb ram
    9600M gt

    I had that in my msi gx620/720 but i ran 2.8ghz dual core i ran fine. My friend has those settings as well he runs tf2 im not sure if i ran on high or medium.

    Used to have an asus with the same specs as your laptop... at the time, 2009, I could run tf2 with no shadows nor aa and textures set to high and everything else at the * value... today with the stuff they did I would say you would have to run everything around medium or force the game to dx 8 mode and run it very high... to do this make a shortcut to the game and in the target add -dxlevel 80 at the end

    You'll only get 20~35FPS in most areas of the game if you use the recommended settings it gives you , if you're running at 1920x1080. although I've gotten 45 and 60 FPS before the update...

    What I find weird is that changing settings usually doesn't help anything at all, but I'm not lowering the resolution :)

    If you play the game every day, just adjust the settings until you find a balance of visuals and performance that works for you. I'm not sure how we're supposed to provide any better help than that :confused:
