Gameplay demonstration: TERA: The Exiled Realm Of Arborea Video Game, E3 2010: Exclusive Demo Walkthrough HD | Game Trailers & Videos | GameTrailers.com
It seems promising. A MMORPG boosting a real-time combat system that could work. They promise real skill will be needed, not just time-waste as the main factor for winning.
Another element is the sick amount of talent being headhunted to spearhead the title. These guys are VERY ambitious about the project.
Developers have been recruited from all over, including people who have been working on Halo, Zelda, Xbox Live, Aion, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and so on... They seem keen on really "westernizing" this one. I think they saw that Aion and FFXI were still way to eastern for a lot of Westerners. At least when compared to WoW. It is unusual to get this sort of experienced developers from what is a company that was created from core NCsoft members.
En masse got in trial with NCsoft over a dispute over the source code of Lineage 3 source code. The game is running on Unreal Engine 3 technology(strange for a big open world MMO) but the source code itself have apparently hindered Linage 3s progress or something.
Will be fun to follow.
If anything it will be a nice break (hopefully) from auto-attack that we're so used to.

Nice, did not know about this one.
Thanks for sharing the info.
Im looking forward to actual player control and not auto attacking.
Button smashing gets boring. -
ive never been all that big into mmorpgs, but that actually looks interesting because of the lack of auto-attack and having to time your attacks as well.

Been following it ever since it was announced. This MMORPG has more potential than some of the big stuff coming out this year.
