Did you guys play during the beta of this game? Its going to be release on May 1 and a headstart will be starting 12mn tonight.
I played during the OB for a few days and it looks good. Any of you getting the actual game?

Me and Deagle played, neither of us really liked it a whole lot.
-
I tried it and will pass
Pro
-Very pretty
-Female toons look amazing
-Combat engine interesting
-Community much better than WoW
Con
-Blatant imbalances in PvE and PvP
-Many male toons look like flat-chested women.
-One race has major advantages and is the ONLY race for PvP.
-Three classes are the obvious choices for PvE, the other 5 are "less-than".
-The population in beta was pretty much the little girl race and the "furries" race.
Its not a horrible game, (assuming they fix the glaring balance problems)just not for me. -
What three classes are you talking about? "Ideal" Korean Tera group (since it's just a translated port) includes 5 classes.
As for me, I liked it and am going to play it until GW2 is released. Player elected political system looks like it could be interesting as well. -
Ideal race for PvP and most melee classes is Elin (little girl)
Why?
-Elin have extended range for their melee attacks. This is a bug, but is still present in the Korean version. Elin also can still stand in a certain place right in front of their targets) and be unhittable (out of range) due to hitbox adjustments. Essentially Elin can hit their opponents when they cannot be hit back. This has been repeatedly tested and I reproduced it in beta as well.
The ideal classes are:
-Lancer
-Priest
-Sorceror
The Warrior is an avoidance tank... he must move lots moving the mob about and its facing making targetting for everyone else a pain in the patootie, plus it takes an insanely good warrior to make even half the tank of even a barely competent Lancer
The Mystic is a passable healer, but the priest is insanely easier. The Mystic has no other role and offers nothing of any real use the priest does not.
The Sorceror is so much better of a DD that only one class can touch them and only when wounded badly and stays that way. (Slayer) The Sorceror also does his damage from afar and doesn't require as much muss and fuss.
A moderately decent Sorceror, is just as good or better than a brilliant DD of any other class.
From everything I read, this does not change in higher levels...
I assume these things will be patched or balanced. However, they are still a problem in Korea.
It will be some time before the US gets the fix if Korea doesn't have it yet. -
US will get the current Korea patch of Tera that's live.
Warrior is taken as a DPS currently since they can't tank end-game hard-modes due to ~90% of normal dps as well as a great debuff to bump all damage. Next Tera patch will help Warriors in their tanking role as well but no idea if it'll be enough.
Mystic is a different type of healer, but ideal group set is Mystic, Lancer, Warrior, Slayer, and Sorceror since bosses can be CC'd by Mystic as well as another crit buff to help the damage along. They heal slightly worse than a Priest but offer utility in exchange.
Elins can be a pain. -
I tried playing it using a slayer. I kinda like the idea that you can control how your character hit and dodge. Its just that some of the skills take time to execute that time is more than enough to dodge it. And once the skill is in progress and you want to stop it because you know you will miss the mark, you cant stop it and has to wait for it to complete. I dont like that.
I am tired of playing WoW, been playing it since 2006, so I think I'll try Tera. -
The lack of functional secondary roles hurts Tera a lot IMHO.
And I severely disagree about anything but Lancer, Priest, Sorc x3. (maybe a slayer in there if to abuse the wounded damage thing)
Anything else is just making your own life difficult.
Not only are sorcs the best damage, they have decent CC as well.
I imagine the imbalances will be addressed in a future patch.
Btw, it seems Tera did well to start with in Korea, but is on a downturn there due to many of the things I listed.
(along with the animation lock thingy listed above) -
Tera Enmasse seems to get more than what they expected. All servers are full most of the time during the weekend for the headstart.
30-45 mins waiting timeCant imagine how it will be when they officially release the game.

Its a typical Korean grindfest MMO. No real depth to it, very shallow and boring. Good combat and if you're a teenage virgin, the cartoon chicks boobs will be fun for you to look at.
-
Levelling was VERY easy... its less Korean in this facet and a great deal more like the WoW where levelling is so fast you wonder why they bother having you level at all.
While not really that difficult to level, the curve is about right (maybe falling on the "little too easy" side) as it results in a community of people who band together.
When levelling is too easy, you end up with WoW where max-level newbies are the norm and finding a pub group is pretty much suicide as half (or more) of them will be worse than retarded.
(yay another huntard or rogue intent on soloing the raid boss or a group who insists they need someone 10 levels higher than the instance to succeed)
The community of Tera is FAR superior to most of the MMOs out at this time. -
Although I think this game's kids population will increase when the official release comes
Leveling is quite easy so far but my experience is limited as I am only at level 25. I'm not sure when I get higher as difficulty should be higher too. That's just my expectation though.
They dont have some sort of talent tree but they have this glyph points where you get to choose what skills you want to improve.
I dont like the story of the quest that much or maybe I just dont concentrate on it as I just want to reach the max as fast as I can as my intention is to explore the PVP aspect of the game and not the RP/PVE side of it.
So far I am enjoying it...
