Hi every one,
I noticed that "System Requirements Lab Analysis" site have added Crysis to there list of games....
Means you can check your Gaming laptop for that game, And see if you can run it or Not....
Link to the site: SRLA
Note: the site will download a small file to test your computer, so dont be afraid & accept to download it....
For me, My acer 5920G passed the minimum req. easily...And reached before the recommended like this:
The problem was in my GPU, recommended was 512MB & mine is 256MB
Also it told me this:
-------------------------------------
CPU
Recommended: Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better
You Have: 2 processors running - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz
FAIL: Sorry, your CPU does not meet this recommended requirement
-------------------------------------
I think something wrong with the test...because my laptop HAS a Core 2 Due processor.....
Anyway people.....try the test and post you results Here
And lets see who is able to play it at recommended setting....
Note: just post the image like I did ^ would be enough...

Good news for every 8600M GT DDR2 version graphic card owners
Oh nooooo...something wrong with the test....my laptop also have T7300 & 8600M GT DDR2 card
It's the same system like Ahmed_p800(Aspire 5920G)
-
Yea SRL always has some problems...
For crysis they say I don't meet the min. requirements :|... They say my VCard is 248MB of RAM... Where the hell are they getting that number? Everywhere in Windows reads the full 256MB.. -
I passed everything except for my video card, which gave me a big Fail.
The tested unit was the 2nd one in my sig.................Attached Files:

I have an Asus F3SV-B1 and I also failed the recommended part because "I don't have" a Core 2 Duo Processor. That and my 8600M GS only has 256MB of RAM and the recommend is 512MB -_- -
-
Joke of the day: 8600M GS outperform 8600M GT -
usapatriot Notebook Nobel Laureate
It says I pass, the minimum requirements except hard drive space of which I only have 5gb free right now...
-
OMG ROFL!!!
It says my system is un-identifiable and I met probably 1/8th of the minimum requirements... time for upgrade... I just bought my lappie February 07.. intergrated graphics, core duo, 1gb of slow ram.... what am I supposed to excpect? lol -
Im gonna try my laptop in my sig and post the result in 2 hours.
-
Same here, my T7300 CPU failed the recommended required!
When you click to recommend a system, the link suggest at least Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 ( 2.4 GHz) systems to recommend crysis...
CPU power seems more and more significant in gaming requirement than commonly thought...
Arhhh... should have gotten a T7700 at least...

This site is pretty much useless. All its doing it reading your system components and comparing them to whats listed as minimum and required. This is no different then if you just compared your specs to fact sheet.
Honestly how could you believe you need the most powerful santa rosa to meet recommended requirements when gpu is the bottleneck anyways. Overall it does even a poor job comparing your specs so I don't know why people are taking this seriously. -
yougamers.com is way better than SRL.

At least i make it over the second line

Playing the Crysis MP beta with the lappy below, and it runs worse than I'd hoped.
1024x768, medium settings (except shadows and physics on low) and getting 30-40 FPS with the 163.69 drivers (still waiting on 163.71 from laptopvideo2go). I was hoping to at least be able to do 1280x800 on medium-high settings, but that drops me down to ~20 FPS. Fortunately the game engine and video card drivers are not very well optimized yet, so performance should improve once it's finally released in November. A lot of people (even those with 8800 GTS's and GTX's) are getting lower-than-expected performance as well on high settings and higher resolutions.
Passed the SRL test easily, although I'm kind of regretting only getting 2.0 GHz C2D. Crysis is extraordinarily CPU intensive (thus why I set Physics and Sound quality to low), and it still pegs both cores near 100% most of the time. -
It did run horrible on my e6600. I strongly believe its just not optimized.
-
Passes 1/4th of the way above minimum.
Failed CPU and "Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 series or greater. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported."
but 7950GTX > 7800 for desktop right? o.o -
I ran it and got a little past the minimum line, almost to the middle. better than i expected. Still, i don't think it'll run because my x1700 is apparently 64-bit
-
I fail to meet the mins because apparently my 8600MGT is 245mb ram....

Moocow your fine. That site is useless.

To support that opinion above me, I tested my desktop 8800GTS 320mb
Reading below you'll see that I passed the minimum but did not meet the required, note the video card memory because 512mb is required:
Recommended: Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 series or greater; ATI Radeon 1800 series or greater. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. Integrated chipsets are not supported. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required.
You Have: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS (GeForce 8800 GTS) FAIL: Sorry, your video card does not meet this recommended requirement. Upgrading to a more powerful video card will make all your applications look better. Click the 'We Recommend' button to see some great options.
Video Card Features - Minimum attributes of your Video Card Video RAM: Required - 512 MB , You have - 320.0 MB
Video Card 3D Acceleration: Required - Yes , You have - Yes
Video HW Transform & Lighting: Required - Yes , You have - Yes -

^ Point proven, the site is useless.

And keep in mind that the difference between the 8600m and the 8800GTS is easily 5000 or so in 3dmark06
Probably more depending on resolution.
I get near 7000 in 3dmark06 at 1920x1200 resolution. Other system specs:
-4gbs DDR2 800mhz RAM
-Quad Core CPU
Haha...so if this desktop has trouble, then everyone better be worried about Crysis
Driver performance will play a key role in Crysis also, much like the special Bioshock release I think. -
My desktop:
Duh.
My laptop, of course, fails the minimum requirement:
Because of the 128MB GPU. Naturally, an 8400M GT will in reality have no issue running Crysis (though certainly not at very high settings), while the x1400 in the post above will sputter and die; this is why SRL, while a fine guideline for beginners, is not to be used as a solid rule.
It also fails my 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo for the recommended yet passes my 2.2GHz Athlon 64 X2, meaning it obviously just goes by clock speed. -
I find it interesting that the game only requires SM2.0.
-
I find it strange to require the 9800pro or the 6800gt, specially since the 6600gt is faster than the 9800pro (or there is an always on hdr for shader model 3 video cards?)
-
Most new laptops should be able to run crysis. I have a sager np 2090 and i'm able to run it in medium settings and its still in beta. When they fully release it, it should be a lot more optimized. They said that the beta was only about 20% optimized.
-
-
I run the MP beta with low settings on an 8400M GS
-
The site is completely useless, unless you don't like looking requirements yourself.....And it apparently doesn't work with Opera.
In the MP beta, on my laptop I run it all Medium 1280x800 2xAA. Average was like 25-30
T7300, 8600mGT 512mb DDR2, 3Gb DDR2 667, Vista
My desktop runs it maxed 1680x1050. E6600@ 3.2, 4GB DDR2 800, 8800GTS 640mb XP. Avg was like 35-40.
Couldn't say about DX10, as it doesn't have it in the MP beta. And thats about all the NDA allows to be said. Had a thread about it at some point.
Oh and my laptop passes the test, but fails for the recommended Processor, I assume they want it to be clocked higher. -
To respond to all the naysayers, the site is actually very good, however it's conclusions and recommendations must be dismissed as worthless. However it's an excellent compilation of minimum and recommend requirements for a variety of games, and is helpful if you don't know the specific GPU features provided by your card in comparisons to a game's requirements.
-
Supposedly the MP beta isn't optimized either.
I'm still trying to decide between a Macbook Pro, Sager 5791, or that Toshiba thing with the 8700GT -
Many said it is useless....I dont know why
I want to ask why do you take serouisly
We all know its not 100%....So where is the harm
If you dont like it...dont try it
You have to be a little bet open minded... -
Alright so it isn't completely useless, it is a good guide to find Requirements for stuff.
I just wish it was working in Opera -
people should see the recommends as a warning if you do or dont want to buy it. Not in a way your notebook or pc will actually perform in the game. It's just a guideline.
-
-
What's your cpu?
-
WTF!?!? I'm sure mine will run mad well. -
lol mine failed unsurprisingly....
-
Ahahahham my Sager 5791 barely made it over the minimum =))

Hmmm..... Apparently my laptop's CPU is .04MHz too slow to get recommended.
That's not the only thing strange about the CPU portion of the test. It also treats a hyper-threaded Pentium 4 as it it were dual core. Rated one of my desktops with a single core 3.2Ghz Pentium 4 as dual-core~4.8Ghz! -
i get the same response... every dell laptop that has an 8600m gt is equipped with 256mb ddr2 ram, so this doesn't make sense -

What the hell?
Why is my 256MB 8700M GT showing to have 248MB? Damn will Crysis not run for me?Attached Files:

LOL... this test is messed up. It gives my desktop a lower score than all of you with the 8600GT. The 7900GS desktop version is better than a notebooks 8600GT... It also also detecting that my CPU is running at 1.8Ghz, when its really running at 3.2Ghz and it rates my CPU 3rd bar up from Minimum.
Oh man! I guess I need a 6Ghz C2D!
