Where can I find a downloadable Tetris? As close to the original game as possible.

Thanks. Im looking at the TetriNET 2 site right now. Do you have to be connected to the internet even if you're just playing on your own?

There was one in the Windows Entertainment Pack from forever ago that seems pretty close to the original. Just Google "Windows Entertainment Pack" - includes lots of other true classics like Chip's Challenge and SkiFree.

Edit: Err, not that I advocate "piracy." By all means, if you can actually find a 12-year-old collection of Windows 3.1 games in a retail store, go ahead and buy it.

Did anyone play this Tetris clone, Tetriller, where this guy falls asleep playing Tetris, and he's dreaming that he's in this factory and Tetris-piece-shaped building materials (bricks, pipes) are falling on him. And you have to play Tetris to earn points, but you also have to worry about not killing the guy. If you make stairs out of blocks up to these holes, one on either side, the guy will come down to the bottom, and in the meantime, all the built up blocks will be burned. Hooray! :D

you can start your own server and play, thats SOLO PLAY.

you can have people join it or join another server to play against people.

I know what you mean about the music! I bought it off iTunes! (it's called Korobeiniki. There is a classic version that uses a Balailaika(sp) and a rock version by Ozma. I personally like the rock!)

If you all think you are so good with Tetris, you should try the version called "Bastard Tetris". Originally made for Linux, its a *****. Find a friend that has Linux and try the game. Have fun ripping your hair out.

Tetris is possibly the best game ever. It only competes with Chess, Mancala and Boggle.

its simple, for anyone to set up, the program itself is less than 2 megs, LOL.

you just need to press start server, and tell people which IP to connect to, I'll try to set one up in a bit.

I'll post the IP really soon.

I'm behind some routers and firewall, it'd be a major pain to set up a server for pretty much anything. Also, linky to the game? Haven't played since well, the old skool days :)

I been playing tetris since it came out on NES. I now play it mostly on my smartphone.

Does anybody know if they have a 3D tetris? Something like how they did with PacMan.

Check out Tetrisphere on N64. Its a little different than the original, but it is 3D. You hack a sphere. But I'm certain there's a 3D tetris.
