I just installed HL2 from the orange box, and I'm getting bad texture flickering in certain areas, esp where there's water. It's really distracting, and I can't find anything in steam support. Anyone else have this problem?

    I have tried so far:

Changed drivers Dox 185 > Current Official Notebook drivers

Set my clocks back to stock.

    Stress tested my system.

    No solution so far.

    Did you try enabling VSync?

I have vsync on, it's definitely not tearing I'm seeing.

But I might have fixed it by running in 64bit mode. (It was crashing before)

So maybe problem solved, I haven't seen any flickering so far.

Odd that that would fix something like texture flickering

    -shrug-

The wonders of Vista, no doubt.
