The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Vista is running very stable and fast for me now. The memory management is different (it's like in OS X or linux - it uses whatever RAM's lying around because unused ram is just dead RAM). It wasn't quite like this when It came out though.

    And office 2007 shouldn't be on that list... THe whole point of the ribbon thing is to bring out all the features people requested - that was already there - in the open. It's quite hard to get evolve word processors after a certain point, but MS mananged. Office is one of MS best application(s) ever.
