    The 8600M GT Drivers

    At what point should these drivers be at full throttle with their driver versions. At what percent would you say its capabilities have been unlocked? It seems with every update thus far it's been adding 5-10 fps to my games in some cases.

    This concept is sufficiently different in focus to be in its own thread.

    I'd say that by the end of this year the 8600m GT will have reached 90% of its potential. It's probable that the final 10% will be unlocked over the following year in tiny increments.

    So far, though, this card is probably at 75%. I wouldn't say the final 25% is purely performance, but a mix of that and compatibility/bug fixes.

    I'm also wondering when the constant stream of 5FPS increases will end, it is almost too good to be true!

    It's both nice that with every driver release performance/compatibility becomes better yet frustrating that right now we're having to put up with the issues of far from perfect driver.
