Guys i got my new inspiron 1420 notebook last week. In order to chk its compatibility and speed of graphics, i installed and tried out Age of Empires 3, which could run at ease in my old pc with just 1.6ghz p4 processor..

All i could see is blurred undecipherable images in vague colors and no icons at all.. i could not even locate the close button to exit the game...

is this the problem with Vista , or the Directx 10 supported by it..
please help me out cuz i expected more out of this system.

I really fear the more graphics greedy games like Half Life 2 , Hitman etc etc would run in my laptop ?!?!

plz advise any patches or updates tat i need to install to meet the requirements ....

You didn't list specs. Update drivers/patches. Run in XP Compat. Same advice I give to everyone.
