I literally played nearly zero games that were released in the 2018 calendar year. My nod would probably have to go to MTG Arena but that only went "public" in 2018 I think it was in closed beta in 2017? Same with Book of Demons. I really liked that but if I recall it was in EA on Steam since 2016? But the official "release" was this year. I think X4 might be the only game I played that was released properly in 2018, and I'm not going to put that at the top of any lists.

"Fallout 76 Worst Game of the Year". Such a shame this happened but I really hope Bethesda learn from this (I don't think they will though judging by the way they responded to the canvas bag debarkle and the Nuka Dark $80 plastic bottle decision).

Moving on swiftly, Fallout 5 next please Bethesda. No multiplayer, no PvP, just bring us back a huge exciting world to explore full of new NPC's and base it somewhere like New York or San Francisco or somewhere just as interesting.

    Thanks :D

I wasn't that impressed with most of the games in 2018. Kingdom Come and Red Dead 2 (single player) are probably the only exceptions for me, both of which I found amazing. Also got Forza Horizon 4, which was still decent, but it really wasn't worth the jump from FH3.

Have you tried looking in the Steam store? There's so many it's not even worth answering the question. You can filter on tags.

From what I've seen on youtube it looks boring to me, but I'd have to reserve judgement if I ever play it.

Why Bethesda... why.. You were like a brother to me.. :( I love Fallout 3, still play it actually... and I also played the hell out of Fallout 4.. I am planning to buy the latest DOOM as well, heard it is VERY Good. ... When I first saw FO76, I said WOW.. that is a big map.. but after seeing gameplay.. I just sighed... And countless news of all their PR mishaps and screw-ups... I could not wait for Fallout 5... I hope they give us a nice Single-player story and a LARGE map with so many places to explore, engaging storylines, and of course.. NPCs with good stories. :( And oh.. DOGMEAT as well. :) I have grown too attached to both Dogmeats from FO3 and FO4.

I noticed you didn't mention Fallout: New Vegas. If you haven't played that you should fix it posthaste.

I recommend for the first playthrough just using a couple mods to fix things up a tad:
    https://www.pcgamesn.com/the-best-fallout-new-vegas-mods

You really only need maybe the stability/community fix mods plus a couple of the texture packs and graphics ones. I wouldn't suggest doing any massive gameplay modding until you've had the chance to play it the way it was released just with a few fixes and some texture/graphics nips and tucks.

Oh, Fallout New vegas. :) I have played it, yes. :) Although, tbh, I have not quite finished it cause I got lost in all of the missions and stuff, even got tangled up with YES MAN, even though I originally had no idea what his motives are. I honestly do not know what ending is the most beneficial. All I know for sure is I do not like the whole Slavery and segregation imposed by the Legion, as well as the multiple killings and attrocities they commit throughout the Mojave. That and they plan to also wipe out third party factions such as the BOS. I mean, they are not exactly bad people, come on.. there could be a diplomatic solution to everything.

Although, there is one thing... One VERY important thing that lacks in New Vegas that kind put me off a bit.. there is no DOGMEAT D: You do have REX, which is nice, but well... I am not as pleased with the whole...man tampering with a perfectly good doggie. :( I mean, what it did it take to attach all those components on that poor pooch.. that must have hurt... Still, I could not resist and I did fix Rex up, set him up with a new brain to keep him happy :) Although... I did have to buy it off Old Lady Gibson I believe.. and hearing one of her dogs die because of that... well.. I felt slightly terrible.. xD

Coolio :) But, it would take me some time before I play NV again. xD Looking to acquire all of the DLCs. I heard Honest Hearts is a very good DLC, and Dead Money is very rewarding. Although, knowing myself, I would go for all of them when a good deal comes around xD

But yeah, currently.. all my available funds would go towards a new gaming laptop I plan buy in a couple of months time. xD So yeah... priorities.

Also, an update... regarding your link.. I am not exactly a member of Nexus Mods, and that website requires some sort of membership fee or something before being able to download anything. Oh wells, I would search around the web for more mods matching the one you linked.

I am encountering an error when I press "Create Account". Hmm.... Forbidden or something. Maybe I should check my firewall settings... I assumed that I must give some sort of membership fee to be able to complete my registration. I would look into it. I was interested in a few mods for Command and Conquer Generals that could be found in the same website before.

Speaking of CNC... I wonder when EA will finally stop murdering this beloved franchise... :(

If you like 4X games at all, Stellaris ends up playing like a 4X and a Sci-Fi adventure game, albeit mostly text-based, as you find interesting things when you survey and weird stuff happens as your empire grows. It's a heck of a lot more interesting than most other 4X Sci-Fi games, imo, though it's definitely not without its flaws.

For instance, in my current game, I thought I was down to the mid-game trudge as a mostly pacifist, United Federation of Planets kind of civ, and then suddenly one of the ravager factions, who had been mostly quiet, unites behind one leader, busts out of their area, and starts roflstomping everyone. Before anyone could react, they managed to take and hold the central nexus that connects all of the gates that make travel around the galaxy quick, which completely fragmented my empire. I went from king of the universe to oh crap I might die.

    Yeah... heard about Stellaris.
The game also has a Star Trek mod if I'm not mistaken (shame the Dyson sphere... or at least a Dyson Swarm are not available for construction in that mod as the Federation definitely has the tech to do a Dyson Swarm ... actually, we have had that capability for about 28 years now - then again, the Federation has access to not just Fusion technology but also highly controlled M/AM reactions - still a Dyson Swarm would have ridiculous capabilities with Federation technology).

I haven't even tried the Star Trek mod. I'm over 100 hours in just playing the game as it sits, with all DLC except Megacorp, for which I'm waiting for a sale. You just have to be willing to puzzle it out past where the extremely bad tutorial just abruptly stops.
