wow, this just blew my mind!
a different world entirely.

i love the artistic expression shown by these guys.

 

It seems like there's also some sort of political statement tied up in there at the same time, but it certainly doesn't detract from the story (or the insane art direction) in the least.

Haha ive been a huge bioshock fan but this one looks the best so far imo.

i have to agree with my friend it is a VERY heavily scripted gameplay trailer, but even if the gameplay is half as good as it looks there it will be ace.

 

If you can't play this on your G73 with ATI 5870 card, then the rest of us are really out of luck.

 

Would've made a nicer demo if it wasn't so blatantly obvious it was being played with an analog stick controller. The guy playing the demo was terrible.

 

No one was playing it. It is entirely scripted. Think of it as a first-person trailer.

 

The most beautiful gameplay I've seen all year.

I don't mind spending the 60$ for this game b/c I know it's worth it. I wish game companies would make all their games look like this one.

That was the best looking trailer I have seen in forever.

 

BioShock 2 was a bit of a letdown but this looks amazing

Well, all I can say is that looks absolutely fantastic. I'm definitely all for the choreography and cinematics done here (voice acting too!). I'm sure this will be a great play. Entertaining stuff

I've got a G73, but have no clue if it will work. Any ideas?

 

first ive seen of the game, and i have to agree with the majority of responses here OMG, OMG and OMG!! ...oh how sweet would this be with a co-op option??

Very interesting to compare the two demos. Thank god they are in two different areas of the game!

Seems like they made some changes to Elizabeth's character design and the tool for riding the rails. Also, there seemed to be a lot of on-screen blood splashes in the September demo.

I did not like the 2nd game and the first one lost my interest half way thru but I have higher hopes for this one.

Thank god Elisabeth got caught. I don`t like dragging people with me when I game. I`m more of a lone wolf type of guy. The very reason why I stayed away from Bioshock 2

 

For once I am happy that the next sequel has such a different look and mechanics. Heads up for variety!!

Did anyone else notice the differences between the September 2010 demo and the July 2011 demo?

It looks like the skyhook system has undergone some changes.

Also the character design for Elizabeth.

And I didn't notice any blood spatter on the screen in the 14-min. demo, unlike the 10-min demo, where this kept happening every few minutes.

Any other differences you noticed?

 

I'll play this game just for Elizabeth herself, nothing beat a crazy witch lady that is your friend

 

She certainly has a big pair of....eyes -- it's a little distracting.

 

Agreed, I think her eyes might be a little distracting at times.

 

Reminds me of the Unigine's Heaven benchmark a little. Was expecting a little more tessalation (on the brick roads for example) :/

 

That makes three of us. Her eyes are certainly quite captivating.

We've been eagerly awaiting this one for quite some time now.

 

I could never get into Bioshock even if I tried.
I don't know why, is it better with mouse and keyboard or with a remote?

 

I've only played Bioshock 1 and 2 with mouse and NumPad or nostromo keypad.

The controls are pretty similar to most other Action RPGs / FPS games.

 

Can't wait for it, i enjoyed 1 and 2.
Apparently, there's gonna be six in total

God, I got to replace my PC with something. Right now, I have nVidia 9300m gs and it cannot run anything, - including this game. The game looks nicer and nicer. I like the fact that they still use the cartoonish style.

I am looking forward to this one, though I was not a big fan of the first 2.

I liked it at first but lost interest about half way through.

The ultimate game in this genre to me is still Dead Space 1 & 2 but the 3rd Bioshock looks to make for a very interesting and interactive experience.

 

I loved Bioshock 1. Great story, a little bit scary, lots of CRAZY enemies, and many fun weapons.
Bioshock 2 didn`t have the same great story. Plus you had to be one of those big daddy where you have to protect the little girls. It was one of those things I didn`t like with Bioshock 1, where you had those missions where you had to run around and save the little girls while attacked by many enemies.

Bioshock infinite is made by the same company that made #1.
That Handyman looks very frightening. Agile big and fast enemy. Not good

Yes, that is correct. Ken Levine and Irrational games was formely known as 2K Boston. They made Bioshock #1. After that they were tired of Rapture (The city in the game) and moved on. But another branch picked it up and wanted a sequel with Rapture, so 2K Marin (Another branch of 2K Games), made the Bioshock #2. So it was totally different developers who made Bioshock #2.
Bioshock Infinite however is all Irrational Games (2K Boston)
