Joking aside it seems that ESO scales downward extremely well. In fact the minimal graphics quality resembles that of the Elder Scrolls spinoffs from the late 90s (hence the title).
Anyways here's some footage of ESO's graphics settings I recorded last beta weekend:

I also have some footage Elder Scrolls Fans would appreciate:

And of course an hour or so of gameplay:

Did I mention that I'm playing on a Lenovo y400? My specs are in the last video's description if you're curious.

Nice videos, although I find that subsample setting very improper as means to work on weak pc's. It's way too ugly.

I agree, but it does make the reference to the 90's that much more appropriate.

Or the fact that they are probably making it so they can run this on consoles. Even the "High" preset from Skyrim would give the latest gen consoles a horrifiing death at 15FPS. It's clearly aimed for consoles in my opinion, i mean what other MMO type game is currently on Consoles? None; it's an untapped market for them esspecially with Bethesdas reputation.

ESO isn't being released on the last generation consoles, so I doubt that's the reason Zenimax scaled the graphics down the way they did. Regarding console MMOs, Final Fantasy XIV is on PS3/PS4 as well as PC.
