I can't wait.
-
I swear this is my most awaited game since the latest consoles came out.
-
I wish I had my GI sent up here
I wanna read the article. -
Ugh... can't feel guilty enough for not having bought the steam sales package of Oblivion.
Will definitely keep an eye on this new TES... looks very promising. -
2011 is goign to be great
R3, Dragon Age 3, Witcher 2, Skyrim and maybe even Diablo.
Nice -

diablo is a stretch, but maybe.
-
It's massive multiplayer isn't it? If that's the case I just can't get my hopes up, so many have tried but failed on the mechanical and balance side.
-
....WHAT? Where did you get that idea? The Elder Scrolls series has always been single-player sand-box style RPG (and damn good ones at that). TESV will be no exception.
-
Dragon Age 2 you mean?
Btw I am soo gonna upgrade my computer for this game! -
The UI has me concerned.

I just hope they spend more time on the single player experience this time round. I deeply tried to enjoy Oblivion but could just never crack it.
Oblivion always felt like a game where Bethesda put together the framework, then other people went and finished it. -
I loved going to kill Umbra from the start of Oblivion and pwning everything.
-
Want this game NOW
One particular thing i didn`t like is that they say enemies will scale up to your skills and level. Makes the whole level up a little useless... -
Played the previous Elder Scrolls iterations? That hasn't changed a bit since the 3rd game, hence the optimal levelling system in both games is somewhat perverse in its emphasis on holding off levelling until the character can get the maximum benefit out of each boost.
-
I do hope they work a bit more on the unmodded experience. But frankly, the framework Bethesda set up for Oblivion was so freaking amazing that I wouldn't have even cared if they neglected to put a storyline in the game. I actually enjoyed modding Oblivion more than I did playing it because every time I tried to play, I would say to myself, "Hmm, I can change this and make it more to my liking. Lemme go do that real quick and then I'll come back to play."
-
Holy cow! That face... it actually looks... human! Never thought the TES devs could accomplish that after seeing the cardboard cutouts that pass for faces in Oblivion...
-
I hope there's a Dark Brotherhood chapter in it.
-
I have. I have played everything since Morrowind, but i had some hope that they maybe was abandoning the old level up system
It would have been much more fun if your efforts payed off. Not very fun if you play 100 hours to get strong and suddenly all the enemies become strong too.
imo
-
Released on 11.11.11, will that be the same for PC?
-
This.
My favorite dark brotherhood mission was the one in the mansion where you had to kill everyone.
Poison apples then persuading them someone else was the killer. -
The Elder Scrolls has the opposite approach to most RPGs I've played, generally the game is easy at the start but slowly ramps up in difficulty as the main character gets stronger. So often one plays an RPG through and finds the final parts not putting up a challenge because the main character becomes so much stronger than everything else.
The developers don't like gamers who play it like an action RPG i.e. power-level quickly and beat the game ASAP. -
Then just mod it...or wait a few days after release, and you should have a dozen choices to tweak the leveling system. That's one of the great things about the Elder Scrolls.
-
Its a new engine though this time, maybe not so crackable on pcs right out of the box, might have to wait a bit longer than that. Digging the new player models they look less like repeated body types and more curvy, if you play the games you know what I mean! Lets hope the facial animations can get close to those in la noire. I also hope they live up to their claim about a more dynamic fighting system, in Oblivion one rythm rules them all, and thats hit, back up, hit, back up, heal, repeat. Maybe flying mountable creatures in this game, or maybe even a winged race to add some more lore.
They were heading down the right track I think with oblivion, they focused more on a breathing living ai, which for the most part isn't that bad. If you kill a non important character their house goes up for sale, and someone else comes in, they just need to make it a slight more believable. And fix the whole I kill a gaurd in the middle of the bush and EVERYONE KNOWS instantly part sucks huge.
BIG expectations for this game.
