Heard of this game before but just saw the new trailer and I must say I am impressed. FPS's are taking on the router of seeing the player's limbs and more in control of how they interact with the environment. You can see this concept in Brother's in arms Hell's highway, but this game takes it to the max.

XPS1330 likes.
The design is sort of like a mix of Portal and Team Fortress 2. -

on a side note, that game looks sharp and clean. it is stylized and represents the creativity and direction more developers should have, imo.
i bet it will run well and be ridiculously fun.
takes notes crytek. -
Oh gosh that is so delicious.

I've always really liked it when you can SEE YOURSELF in shooters. Like in Dark Messiah, Rainbow Six Vegas, or FEAR. It's much more immersive.
Unfortunately this looks like it's gonna be PS3 only, but for how well the first-person perspective works for it, it makes it really criminal that other developers aren't going in this direction with this much fervor. -
Seems interesting. I'm looking forward to it.
-
Pulp, if gametrailer isn't lying, then the game should be multi platform, PC 360 and PS3. -
I'm in love! I love the palette they used, and the bloom, and the concept looks interesting ^^

Love it! Finally a game that is about running away from the enemy than confronting it.

I don't know...
First person platformers do not work. In real life, your "vision cone" is much larger and you can quickly turn your head in any direction, couple that with a sense of balance and touch and you're able to pull off a lot of tricky moves (like crossing a beam).
First person viewpoints in games can't replicate that sense of balance, and that's why all the platforming sections of FPSes so far have sucked (think Half Life). I don't know how this video game is going to pull this off given that I would hate to play a game where I die every six seconds because I can't hold my footing. -
If they can pull it off, they will reap the rewards.
Did anyone else get a semi-Ghost in the Shell vibe from the video? That's what got me excited. -

^. Wow I was like am I the only one thinking GITS. It has a portal vibe to it too. Especially since the main characters look similar.

First person game with limbs? this has been done before, it reminds me of Breakdown on the original Xbox with the limbs and all. That game grows on you and to me it's unforgettable.
Also the theme of this game is a coincidence, I was watching videos on you tube and they had this featured videos of "parkour" or urban sport I think it was referred to at one time, where guys in real life jump from building to building and climb up and down buildings and leap over walls like a ninja. Like Jackie Chan does and the character in this mirror game. Check it out on youtube just search for parkour.
Cool looking game only why does the hero gotta be a chic? -
Holy hell. If they could pull this off to be as fluent as it looks, this will be phenomenal.

Future of FPS is an asian chick?I smell invasion.

That (To me) looks like a mix of Assassin's Creed and the Final Fantasy series.
-
More like Final Fantasy and Prince of Persia first person view.

FPS like that are awesome, i like FPS games that really make you feel part of the action and be human.
COD4 for example, when your team member is injured you pick them up and either bring them to safety or something -
Yeah, makes me think of a first person modernised Prince of Persia. I hope it turns out well.
-
Looks awesome!
Hope the requirements aren't Crysis like. -
Most likely the requirements will be even biggers thab Crysis' . Games are moving forward ,not backwards.
-
Looks outstanding, and finally the FPS creators are trying to replicate a real first person view.
-
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Saw screens of this a while back and thought it looked interesting... now I am hooked! I loved the melee attacks in FEAR so the FPS'd Prince of Persia mixed with scissor kicks and some good gun play makes me drool. The visuals are definitely creative which I have to say I prefer, as opposed to "the most photo realistic graphics ever". One reason why I liked Bioshock so much. I hope it has a strong, well told story and the game play keeps you "on your feet"
. I think we have a contender for Thund3rball's Limited Launch Day Purchase List.

Yeah I really hope they make it challenging. Unlike AC where you just kept pressing jump over and over and there was no real challenge of where to jump next or timing it correctly wasn't an issue. It has to be since its parkour inspired. BUt the attention to detail is incredible, the chair and tables within the office building, the side of the buildings has dirt and stuff.

So is this a gymnastics simulator or what?

Much cooler than gymnastics. -

Reminds me of assassin's creed...

i doubt the system reqs will be that lofty as it uses the unreal engine.
Also, it is nice to see a FPS/ FPA (action game) that actually makes you feel like you are the person... and not just a floating camera (yeah i am talking to you cod4 and half life 2) -
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
and as far as the system requirements, just judging from the video, it didn't look like it was going to be too intensive on the gpu. i hold by my statement that it should run really well on most systems. it looked clean and sharp. we could get into a massive discussion about what kinds of things tax the gpu, but suffice it to say that recreation of reality in an accurate or beyond-accurate way mandates taxing the gpu in an extreme way, whereas a representation of reality with its foothold in artistic design could really tax the gpu on any level, from mild to extreme. and this looks medium. plus its on the ut3 engine apparently, which is a great sign. ut3 and the ut3 engine has the potential to produce EXCELLENT visual effects while running great. -
the only first person game that feels right when jumping/platforming is the metroid prime series IMO -
-
the unreal engine has always been pretty scalable...
this title won't be any different.
The Future of FPS? Awesome Mirror's Edge trailer.
