I made this because I have the 965 Express Chipset Family, which has the GMA X3100 Graphics Accelerator.
Any way, straight to the point, list all the games you managed to run on the 965 Chipset Family/X3100.
This is my list:
Call of Duty Modern Warfare(lowest settings) 10-20 FPS
Return to Castle Wolfenstein(max settings) 50+ FPS
Call of Duty(max settings) 50+FPS
Half Life 2(max settings) 20-70FPS
Fifa 08(min settings) Unconfirmed, but it ran good
Age of Empires 2(max settings) Lol, It's RTS, FPS don't matter
Half Life Source(Max settings) Unconfirmed FPS
I will update my list occasionally.
Keep the discussion clean please, I don't want this to get locked like the other one did.

you overestimated the power of the X3100. sad to say, COD needs at least a G45/GM45 with GMA 4500 (X or MHD, doesn't matter) to run. Mine barely makes 30fps (and my OS is hyper tweaked to the ultimate extreme). And i've seen my younger cousin trying out COD on his Studio 15 (with X3100) and its NOT playable. probably around 10fps.
Age of Empires 2 works smoothly all settings high, but your head will ache from the blurry graphics. its max res is 800x600, if i recall correctly. -

May I remind you that the OS you "tweaked" is one of the worst. I have windows 7 ultimate, and CoD MW runs decently.

Killing floor (1280x800) lowest settings.
gunz: the dual (perfect).
TM nations is great (1280x800, low settings).
DMC4 (lowest settings, low res).
L4d (lowest settings, lowest res), ~20fps, drops to 8 sometimes. Not really playable but I finished it.
CS 1.6.
Grid demo is pretty bad, one track is worse than the other. You might get ~20fps on the good track at lowest settings and res. Not really playable.
Dirt demo, not playable (8fps even with my fsb overclocked to 250mhz, CPU at 2.6ghz and ram at 830mhz). -

Damn, I was kind of hoping that Left 4 Dead would be playable.
*Update*
Halo Combat Evolved
Halo 2
Fallout 1+2
Need for Speed Most Wanted
All of those are fully playable. -
Can you please update your first post
Also if you like L4D then you will like the killing floor, basically the same game. -
uh sorry, i forgot to mention that i tweaked Windows XP (dual boot), not Vista.
anyways i have 7 ultimate now.
Modern Warfare 2: even more demanding than MW (of course) expect fps drop.
Bioshock: playable, all low
MoH AA : playable, medium low -
I played a lot:
- Jedi Knight 2 - Jedi Outcast
- Silent Hunter III
- Red Alert 2
- Diablo 2
- Warcraft 3
On my HP 6510b. Not very demanding games but fun. -
....sorry -

Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare 15-30fps
Call of Duty 6 - Modern Warfare 2 10-20fps
DCS: Black Shark 5-10fps
LockOn: FC 10-20fps -
Is this "compatibility" in the sense that the game won't crash at the title screen with a DirectX error the way older Intel cards like the GMA 900 tend to do?
Or is this "compatibility" in the sense that the game is at least minimally playable? -

Tell me your settings please. -

This is a major bump, I know, but there is a driver for X3100 that you can install, and it allows you to max out Left 4 Dead, play L4D2 on min settings, and calmly play COD4. I am giving the people in need these drivers, even though I already have a new computer for games, in hope that I will help them:

Also rapidshare has a 10 user download limit, so please spread the driver to those in need.
