Loosely borrowing a thread topic from one of my favorite music forums I figured this would make for good gaming discussion as well as recommendations fellow gamers may have not considered.

Please keep it only to games that are available on the PC (older or new) since this is a PC-related forum.

    Me:

Microsoft Flight Simulator X Gold Edition ~ bought today after reading great comments on it here and seeing some incredible screenshots posted by a few members. Need to find a joystick now....

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena ~ Bought it because it included the original highly acclaimed Butcher Bay with 'improved' graphics. Enjoying it so far.

Empire Total War ~ Got past the tutorials and am a bit stumped in the campaign mode. Otherwise seems to be a decent RTS.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky ~ free with my graphics card :D

F.E.A.R. ~ online multiplayer, with sweet graphics on the new desktop!

Solar Winds: The Escape (shareware) ~ Oh, yeah.

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - loved Butcher Bay, but this game so far is meh. I'll have to go further I guess

Dead Space - Started about three times so far and each time the view and/or controls just made it difficult to get too far. But I'll keep trying because it seems to get raving reviews. I like the genre and the idea, but just wish it was conventional FPS like Doom 3.

Tom Clancy's HAWX - Fun and great action flight game. Been waiting for something like this. Yes it's arcade, but I enjoy it. Great change of pace from my normal sims (Falcon 4, IL-2, Enemy Engaged, etc).

CS:S - Just got it at EB Games quite amazing with GMOD for sure.

TES IV: Oblivion - AMAZING, this game has sooooooooooooo many mods so the game is pretty much endless :D

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 - Pretty fun, I didn't like the graphics though. I prefer the games above than this one.

Dead Space - not used to the control scheme and feels kinda like riddick. didn't go far into game and haven't touched in a while.

Left 4 Dead - friend made me get it. only played with him couple of times. it's a fun game if you want to kill an hour or two.

Mass Effect - simply amazing. wish they pumped out more games like this :D

DCS: Black Shark. Barely played it, it's so overwhelming :p Waiting to get a good flight stick and throttle system before diving into it hardcore.

Penumbra Trilogy. So far so good. A bit dated on the graphics side of things, but the game is very creepy and Silent Hill-esque which is very good in my book. One of the more original games I've played in a while.

Viva Pinata. Got it for $10 US since it's on sale at Gamestop during their Gamedays sale. Pleased to say it runs very well at it's max supported resolution of 1680 x 1050 with max graphics settings, yet still maintaining 60 FPS. Haven't played it much so far, but I did give it a go a long time ago on the 360 which I did enjoy.

Just bought Warhammer 40K Dawn of War II, but I haven't had a chance to play it.

Just played some Left 4 Dead a few days ago.

Playing Far Cry 2, I'm actually enjoy the game (I know I'm a minority), I guess you have to go into it knowing its a sandbox game.

Mass Effect - Wonderful game; I was a huge fan of KOTOR, which was also made by Bioware. I can't wait for Mass Effect II.

Left 4 Dead - great multiplayer game. It's a ton of fun and the replay value is great. The recently-added Survival Mode is an excellent challenge. Its only downfall is the crap matching system.

    Can't remember any before that.

Empire Total War. Fun if you like the battleground; but apart from the combat sistem i blame the strategic/diplomatic part of it is too little.

Fallout 3, very nice game but I would have improved the presence of NPC all around.

GTA IV - nice one as usual, ok plenty of small iperfections but still a great fun.

World in Conflict: Complete Edition: Never played the original and am making my way through this. Quite fun and awesome explosions! :)

    GTA Chinatown Wars (DS):
I was curious about the treatment for the DS and I have to say I think this game is more fun than the series is on consoles or PC. :p

    FEAR 2 Project Origin:
Had a blast playing this. Ramped up scares, graphics and game play from the first. Will likely play through it again later on.

Sid Meier's Railroads - Played the board game 'Ticket to Ride' at a friend's house and caught the railroad addiction...

Demigod - Quick fix for RTS/RPG gaming

Fate - Undiscovered Realms - $20 at BB for a stylistic clone of Diablo...I have the attention span of a gnat so this game was perfect...completely disposable and a lot of fun...
