So it's 0.9 inches thick and apparently blows the pants off the 980m according to their benchmarks.

first 15 inch laptop with sli. are there any benchmarks online for the 965ms in sli?

they also downgraded the 4k screen to a 3k screen, which i guess is plausible to run many games at their native resolution with the dual 965m's.

I'm possibly thinking of this laptop, but I don't want a weak broadwell cpu throttling and other issues.

any thoughts? or any of you critics care to praise or rip it apart?

3k IPS gsync monitor does seem nice though

    0.9" thick?
    Aorus?

It's an overheating throttling mess, don't bother.

Lol. One GPU shares one of its 3 heatpipes with the CPU. That's always a recipe for disaster.

Hot Hot Hot! My contact with Aorus is no longer there, otherwise I'd try to get my hands on a review unit...

Looks very nice, but I'd rather have a single 980m to avoid SLI issues for that kind of money. I get P10000 in 3DMark11 on a single 970m in a .78" chassis with no heat issues, so bet a properly cooled 980m would be neck and neck or even better if the x5 throttles or slower if you account for SLI utilization issues.

G-Sync has me drooling though :D

I agree. SLI is just too much fuss I think.

First 15" SLI? Lol it's like the third, and the y500/510p did it better by being cheap. Just get a single 980m machine.

Exactly. And the Y400/Y410p was the first 14" with SLI.

Apart from G-Sync, what exactly does this offer compared to, say, a Sager NP8652 with a 980M? The performance advantage of SLI 965Ms compared to a single 980M just doesn't seem worth the hassle of SLI. And that advantage *really* doesn't seem to be worth the price compared to some of the single 980M systems out there. Now, if they had found a way to cram dual 970Ms in a 15" laptop without melting a hole in the keyboard, that would be a different story. If you absolutely must have G-Sync, I would rather check out the Sager NP9753.

Aside from the lack of Optimus, absolutely nothing. But I guarantee you it'll overheat more.
