I'm sure you were expecting this answer but those errors are most likely driver related.
Alot of people get the hl2 has stopped responding error when they exit TF2 including me.
It's not a serious problem for most though, i just put up with it

    Try updating your video drivers.

I get the "Not responding" error on exiting source games also, nothing much you can do about it.

As for the "goes crazy" thing, do you mean when you start TF2 and the window will continuously maximize and minimize?

If so, I have this problem also. It can be fixed by making sure that you don't click any other windows after launching TF2. For instance, if you launch TF2 from STEAM and then open your web browser...you get the weird problem.

I get the same error but on loading. Opening any game from orange box has a 50%+ chance to crash even on a fresh format and drivers.

Every time I exit TF2 I get the "hl2.exe is not responding" message. I don't think there's anything that can be done about this.

And, as Arkaros said, when you launch the game from Steam, don't click on any other windows before it's loaded because otherwise it has a crazy maximizing/minimizing problem.

Hmmm I have none of these problems at all.

I used to get the hl2.exe is not responding error in HL2 itself though. Usually I re-verify game files and re-install drivers if it happens, but TF2 runs great and I click all around multiple windows until TF2 finally opens and forces itself to the front.

after playing TF2 for a couple of hours i decided to get an hour or so in Half Life 2 done but every time i get to a new area that news loading i get this VERY ANNOYING message "Node Graph Out Of Date, Rebuilding" and it has happened at EVERY area load, and im sure it has happened in other source games such as TF2 and ZPS any idea what it is and how to fix it?

something else that happens in any source game that ive played (HT2, TF2 and ZPS) is that after i have left the game i have to move Object Dock back to its original place, but RainMeter, Zion Player and Rocketdock dont move at all its only Objectdock and it doesnt happen in ANY other game that i have played,

any idea on how to fix any of these VERY annoying problems?
