We have one for every popular graphics card, and I think a few for specific games.

Yes Necromas, but are they stickied?
This might be placed in the "Please Read Before Posting" sticky. Put in a post and ask. -
Well I did a few, here:
GMA950 Screenshot Thread
X200M Screenshot Thread
Go7400 Screenshot Thread
8600GT DDR2 Screenshot Thread -
I also agree that it will be hard to get this thread stickied if at all.
Crimsonman has already pointed out some of the reasons as to why it could not get stickied. Il just outline them again and add a few of my own.
-We already have a lot of screenshot threads, be it for a specific card like HavoK has pointed out, be it for a specific laptop or be it for a specific game.
-Most of these threads whether directly or indirectly serve as a means for people to see how their notebook will perform.
- The above is not necessarily bad, but we already have a somewhat official thread entitled "Can my notebook run this or not", and most posts are redirected there.
- Also users are sometimes left disappointed after viewing the thread, as there are some users here (about 1% of the community) who intentionally mislead others. They either give false claims about their screenshots, such as they portray that their 8 600M is running Crysis on max at a high resolution. After such claims when they are asked for proof they disappear. Anyone can take a screenshot of Crysis at ultra max settings and they will all look great, that is if the fps isn't shown.
- This thread should be able to gain a place in the sticky which puts all useful threads in one post, this is because there are many threads here that deserve stickies but there are not that many stickies to go around, thus the moderators have to link to those threads in a general sticky.
- Some of the screenshot threads after a while get filled up with posts asking questions such as; "which drivers were used?", "what settings", "any additional tweaks applied", "what fps", the list is endless. These questions are all valid but to most people a screenshot thread should be nothing but screenshots. Hence the poster of the screenshot should already have answered those popular questions in the post containing the screenshot.
Other users may or may not agree, but personally I enjoy looking at screenshots and so I am in no way trying to annoy you.
If this thread becomes either a sticky of its own or put in a general sticky then don't be disappointed as both contain equal value. Sure you may argue that independent stickies are more visible and have a higher chance of being read, that is true but users here with some common sense dig in to both. As for the rest sticky or no sticky they will still post a new thread
Here are some ideas which should help
- Every post should be a screenshot, unless its something very usefull. This isn't to say that anything else has to be omited, just include it besides a screenshot
- The user providing with the screenshot should clearly have provide answers to the most common questions where applicable, such as "which drivers were used?", "what system specs"?, "what in game settings?", "what os?, "any additional tweaks/patches either to the os, hardware(overclock) or to the game itself?", "what fps?"
- Please post screenshots as thumbnails just to keep the thread clean and avoid scrolling and/or loading issues. Also if possible could you put the screenshots in this format:
X X X X X X X (where X is a screenshot)
instead of
X
X
X
X
To do this all you have to do is put a link to the screenshot, put the next link right next to it with no space or one space, just don't press the enter key.
Hope this helped -
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
can everyone posting screenshots, follow these rules please. -
Glad to have helped,
Following the rules here are some screenshots:
Oblivion
-1280 x 800
-Vsync On
-Everything max except medium textures, HDR instead of bloom and noAA, system specs in sig
-Don't remember drivers but were of 164.XX series
-Fps shown in the top right corner
-Windows XP, no tweaks, no overclocking
-
Sins of a Solar Empire Demo
-1680 x 1050, every possible setting set to "highest", vsync off, AA x 0.
-No tweaks, patches, overclocking done. Runs very smooth, fps not measured but just like how an rts should feel, zooming in and out causes no lag.
-Vista 64 bit, specs in sig, 174.16 drivers.
(the colors look much better in game, the lava on the planet looks very realistic and "hot") -
Age of Empires III (version 1.12). Haven't played it much on my laptop yet, so my choices were somewhat limited.
1280x800 resolution
All settings as maximised as possible (too lazy to check exactly what that is)
8600M GT DDR2, stock speed
156.83 official Dell drivers (December 2007)
XP SP2 (AoE3 did work with Vista, however)
Don't know the FPS, almost always limited by opponent's computer/InternetAttached Files:

Trackmania Nations, same specs as above. Settings: Complex shadows, Pixel Shader 3, High Car Quality, 1280x800 resolution, 16x Anisotropic Filtering, 4x Antialiasing, High Background quality.
I don't actually play at that high of settings - frames per second are too important in a racing game. I usually tone done to no antialiasing, Trilinear or 2x Anisotropic filtering, and either High Shadows or Pixel Shader 2. If I take all of those decreases I get well over 60 FPS.
note: Lost a bit of quality to the jpeg.Attached Files:

HL2 Episode 2.
On LenovoT61p, specs in sig. -
Sick screen, I can't wait to play EP 2

The game is Command and Conquer 3. I used one Commando to take down three Avatars. Oh man, I wish I could have seen my opponent's face!

Vinumsv you should turn specular map on, it makes the game look so much better and barely hurts performance.

My turn: (2 similar topics so i posted in both of them)
All are taken with overclocking:
1-C&C 3:
Very playable as you can see (i think the fps are fixed at 30 only)
2-Front lines Fuel of war:
You must all try this game, its very good (better than crysis in my opinion), and playable at acceptable settings (High)
All the updates and fixes for the game were applied:
Head Shot!
Now at highest resolution, still playable but the fps are low, dont know why!!
What do you think?!
