Quick question, have been eyeing The Saboteur for a while, and noticed it's now cheaper on Impulse. Curious though, does anybody know if they have the patch that fixes the ATI crash issue? I think it was a beta patch and I know it's availble for retail, but Impulse shows version 1.00 on the store page. This has me worried that they don't offer the patch? Anybody have it on Impulse that could let me know? Thanks

highly doubt it, the studio that made the game, pandemic, is disbanded a while ago.

I gave up on that game after I discovered that the peds never talked, never retaliated if you stole their cars and you could be driving a rusty car that could take over a hundred bullets and still survive with barely a scratch on the paint work. So many parts of that game were rushed or lacked detail but on the surface it looked good. Maybe I have been spoilt by the sheer level of detail in games like GTA IV.

so nobody really likes it eh? Seemed to get decent reviews, and I had forgotten all about it, but had wanted to try it back when it first came out. Was hoping the patch might have helped things some...

Seemed like a good concept though. Guess I'll pass based on these posts though.

I did, the game was really good, had a fairly good story and beautiful graphics that ran quite well. I spent weeks playing this game only, it was different. Here are some pics if you want.

Thanks for the great screenshots! Still looks interesting to me, tempted to try it... what kind of videocard did you run it on? I'm worried about my ATI having issues with the game.

No problem, it is a great game. I ran it on Nvidia 280m in Sli, my system is the Sager NP9850.

Should also mention I played and finished the game before there were any patches and it still ran great. Probably even better now.

I played it and it was quite awesome... in fact , ran quite well on my crappy 9600M GT... i would say its an excellent game.. had a story and seriously , 100 bullets would damage cars a lot... ur loosing out if u don't buy it.

So far so good, played about an hour last night without issues, was pleasantly suprised. They did a great job using colors to help set the atmosphere in this game. And the game engine does run just fine, better than GTA4. Very similar gameplay, but I'm enjoying the setting and story much better so far... fingers crossed it doesn't start crashing, and will load it on my G73 tonight, hoping it will run on the ATI gpu.
