 well i really liked the concept of the game from the previews. a massive ship with lots do and interact with. i played it today (finally) and its probally one of the most dissapointing games i ever played. the ship is so small. the story is a joke. the characters are so lame. does anyone like it? im halfway threw and dont see one reason to respect it. wasted 20 bucks on it . :(

I never impulse buy computer games. Just about every game I've bought in my library of games (and yes I do mean library, lol) has been based off the reviews online or out of the magazine PC Gamer (although PC Gamer has been getting kinda lame the last year or two). Also some stores will allow you to return games even if opened for a few days, so shop around and ask what their return policy's are. At least this way you can take back the garbage games and not waste your money on them.

I know you want to get that latest and greatest gaming title but to be honest you will waste money if you buy games without having read a review first. Nothing worse than installing a crap game and have it ooze poo out into your hard drive lol. Some games I wont even buy for the first 6 months because I know they are going to be buggy as heck(and it takes 6 months to get the game the way it should have been at release (*cough* EA *cough*)).

    Good Luck,

The very concept of The Ship is pretty weak. Why would a bunch of vacationers want to kill each other?

same, but i never go by reviews. reviews (unless the game is incredibly crap) are biased. you end up getting an rpg fan reviewing an rpg game, an fps fan reviewing a fps and so on. i base my purchases of playing the demo. i have wasted too much money from trusting in reviews.
