Hey guys, I know this section is for gaming software and hardware, but in the laptop section there is no area for Eurocom. I just learned about the Eurocom Panther 2.0!It looks amazing. Can even put SLI of HD 6970...wow....
http://www.eurocom.com/
Anyone own a Eurocom laptop? I would love to know how the quality is, if they have lots of issues..... and would you say they bury Alienware and other top gaming laptops? Thanks.
LOL, I just played around on their site and configured the Panther that came to over $13,000 ahhaha wow, I have good taste, but with that money I might as well buy a car.

With that kind of money may as well hire a personal assistant to just carry a desktop around for you. -
surely you mean crossfire not sli if its a hd6970 by amd/ati

There's an older thread on Eurocom. Granted I'm sure some things have changed, but ehhhhh. -
Eurocom are classy. They will come on this forum and insult their customers too, read a few threads where that happened. Very classy. Not like GenTechPC where they may say something simple as, Sorry your experience wasn't to your wishes, please contact us immediately @ (blank) and we'll resolve this immediately. No instead, I've seen a Eurocom rep, laugh... yes laugh.
I won't say more about Eurocom, you can go read them up yourself. But there are some great resellers like XoticPC, PowerNotebooks, or LPC Digial. All of them can be contacted on this forum. There are many many other Clevo/Sager resellers who have a great relationship with NBR forums and are well respected.
Good luck. -
yeah sorry, I'm still new to this terminology of crossfire/sli... so I realize with such companies like Eurocom, if you have the money, you can buy it all...but for now I don't, so I plan on sticking with the refresh Envy 17 3D coming out soon.... I'll make due with med/high graphics for now on the HD 6850 at least I'll have the HDMI 1.4a for 3D viewing on 3D capable TVs with HDMI cable instead of just on my laptop.
Thanks guys for the info.

Eddie has a clone? lol J/K
I can never let the running joke die. -
haha yeah. I should have done a print screen pic... lots of goodies, also 4 SSD 500gig drives...wow I need some serious cash. $$$$$
-
And 1 year later that thing will devaluate a lot like every computer
-
very good point.... so I guess I'll stick to the Envy 17 3D and be happy for a couple years, then upgrade once more.

Not worth the 13000 price tag at all, you could build a similar spec lan portable desktop for a fraction of that price. Its almost not worth going over 2 grand for ANY laptop before it becomes hard to justify it. You are obviously getting it for some sort of portable feature all laptops naturally have, but this this is litteraly a beast, would be heavy, would heat up, and battery life would be non existant. Defeating any usefullness of the laptopness it has. Better off building a lan computer and buy a portable lcd monitor and attach it to that.
just an added note I cant believe its only an extra 399 for crossfired 6870m, thats rediculous. Everything about this is just Rediculous. -
eurocom is way overpriced, i rather go with another acceptable resellers than go there and i will buy the very same unit.
battery life goes 45 mins in my laptop (sig) gaming goes *ugh* 20mins in high performance but single gpu use.
heating? not really, without notebook cooler i game with 480 sli hitting only 68C, x7200 is has an amazing cooling system.
heavy? yes it is, but if i do carry something with me, it should be WORTH carrying, not any paper crap. its a DTR, so it will be heavy of course.
if you say ultimate then you found it. if you're an enthusiast then surely this laptop will catch your eye.
