    With a 6970m, you should be fine at more than medium. And as for the 723mb video card, it's hard to tell what you mean..

    You are running windows x64 right? Your 6970m should play it on medium at decent framerates.

    @geno yeah,i use x64 win 7

    This My config

    this is my system spec

    Are you sure that's not because you start in an undemanding area when you load the game?

    i dont get the meaning so clearly,but i sure the area i started when load the game isnt heavy,it just a small room in town,i have ~65fps for like 5min,then it drop down,and try to load again,can never get ~65fps unless i change my resolution and change back

    p/S: i try stand still in 1 spot at Harbor,at first the fps is 57 then it drop,and never goes up again

    turn your resolution down to 1600x900. or turn down to 1280x720. and play medium/high settings. the game still looks amazing

    delete your user ini files. download the witcher 2 stutter fix. place it in witcher 2/bin folder.
    on ccc turn slider to performance or in advanced settings make sure its application controlled. (im using 12.4)
    start the witcher. 1080p res. disable fullscreen and disable ssao, bloom, motion blur, shadows to medium, disable vsync.
    now that runs for me great. 30-40fps. very very smooth and still looks great to show my friends

    i had heard people have the same gig as i do running this game >30fps with medium/high specs,and i can barely run it ~30,that is what pissing me off

    for 1 time,i dont know how,i just disable DOF gameplay,and got 58fps in town,full of people,and just try enter a house,than come out,it goes back to 28 fps, :))

    none of the things that aný posted on internet work for me,using ccc 11.4,throllet stop,msi after burn,stuttering fix,disable everything...vvvv..bla bla bla,and i finally achieve the peac of my mind by uninstall this game and break the installion dvd, its
