    The Witcher Enhanced Edition will truly be enhanced if you're on post-surgery painkillers. ;)

    Awesome RPG really.

    TBH, Prototype sounds like the game you want too. Open environment, can take missions or not, and have the most awesome hero powers ever.

    Id take the witcher over prototype any day, the witcher had different interactions with npc, and your choices impact the game, i really liked the improvement/levelup system and found it varied enough to keep me interested, i just cant get into prototype, after the first hour i found it to get alittle to repeditive, the witcher is a great game prototype is only an average game imo.

    Well, they are both definitely different genres, both of which I never cared much about. But enjoy both quite a bit. Which reminds me, I have to get back into "The Witcher" because I didn't get real far before real life started interfering (lol).

    That being said, Prototype is a fun hack an slash and run rampant kind of game, and possibly more what the OP was requesting based on:

    "open enviroments where i can go and explore and run into nasty things to fight."

    Usually "open environments" to me means a la Grand Theft Auto games.

    yeap mate i get your point, and if you want a senseless run around hack n slash type game prototype fits the bill nicely, but if i was wanting that type of game id probably take something like sacred2, titanquest etc, where theres heaps of loot, upgrades etc...but thats because i really dont like prototype ;)

    Another here, though I've taking a breather to figure out which plot path I want to go through on Chapter 4. Won't give up anymore details here though.

    Wicher = Highest Recommendations!

    Any game that's PC exclusive will always yield high(er) ratings in my book but being fair this would have been a top game in any case.
