    Topic says it all. What are some of the games youve played that have completely epic stories? I'm looking for some of those.

    Assassins creed 2 has to be on the top of my list.

    Deus Ex was a lot of fun way back when.

    Mass Effect 1 and 2.

    Half-Life and Half-Life 2.

    I actually liked Doom 3's audio log plot (got me kind of immersed)

    Dead Space has that going for it to (more so with just being a better horror game than Doom 3).

    XIII. XIII was awesome and I wish it had a sequel/the comic it was based on was translated (it's in french or something)

    Well games like the Metal Gear series or Mass Effect are obvious choices, but if you're into the point and click type of adventure games, then the best story in a game i've ever seen is in Syberia 1 and 2, simply amazing

    It really surprises me how many people haven't played the Legacy of Kain series. Maybe at 28 I'm just starting to get out of touch. :p

    Seriously, if you haven't play through it, you should. The main Soul Reaver arc of Soul Reaver > Soul Reaver 2 > Defiance is the most skillful writing I've seen in a game, and I've played everything people have posted here.

    I'm also surprised to see Baldur's Gate missing as much as it is.

    I've been a die hard FPS fan for too long... probably have over 9000+ hrs of gameplay in the FPS genre and that's no exaggeration. I've only played two real RPGs and they have been fantastic in terms of depth and gameplay. I only wish I got into the RPG genre a bit earlier.
