I have been trying ot research this entirely thouroughly before i made a move.

I am a guy who loves his gaming, and i have been hearing boths sides of the argument:

    1. the 120m is based off the 7400 and therefore performs the same
    2. its a quadro workstation card, and therefore will not perform in games as well as a geforce can.

i believe with my reseach, i would have to agree with the second one.

But i need to know one thing. is the 120m card identical to the 7400 card? i really want to change the 120m in the d820 latitude laptop that dell is selling.

id really appreciate an answer, ive been looking for pictures of these **** things, and i cant find anything at all for quadro. thanks all!

I don't think so, but I'm not entirely sure.

Are you saying you want to buy the dell, this get a GO 7400 and throw it in? I HIGHLY doubt you can do that.

If you're still looking for a notebook you may want to fill out the FAQ and post it in the corresponding forum, that way we could find some for you to look at.

yes im saying exactly that., i want ot buy a dell d820, and replace the graphics card with a 7400 go card. i know someone who took a dell m70, took out the 1400 quadro in it, and replaced it with a 7800gtx. the core clock speed was somewhat underclocked, and the ram was over clocked, and it preformed with games pretty good.

this is different. dell doesn't have a single model that has the 7400go. it was possible for this other person b/c dell sells the 7800gtx separately b/c it was available in the xps 1710. you won't be able to find the 7400go that will fit into the d820.

i think he meant dell m90.

You can't change the graphics card in it; there's a stickied thread at the top of the forum which specifically states that you cannot do that.

The dude who replaced the quadro and put in the 7800gtx did it because both cards used dell's proprietary (half mxm half axiom) interface.

The quadro in your d820 is built into the motherboard. It isnt a removable module/card.
