GAH! I canceled my gaming laptop order: Alienware Area-51 M9750 and i'm going to change my gaming laptop to a Sager NP9261...

Was this the right choice? :S I really am getting desperate for a gaming laptop!

I've heard some very good things about the Sager and I don't regret my buying one at all. I would have loved to have had enough money for the 9261.

If you were willing to cancel the order...why don't you wait till the 8800m comes out for Sager? I mean, I would be fine with the system in its current state (8700m, right?), but just wondering.

i ordered the sager with QUAD 2.4GHz processors...and a 7950GTX single graphics card. Plus, they said it'll be user upgradeable later on so. I think i'm set.

If you're planning to upgrade to the 8800M keep in mind this requires a motherboard upgrade.

Is the QUAD processors really worth the money? All i need is something that will play UT3, BF2142, C&C Tiberium Wars, CS:S, and Call of Duty 4 on maxed settings. Can't i just get a really good core 2 duo and still be able to do that?

The cost for a quad Q6600 is a much better option than a X6800 imo. The processor is not where it will fail but going with a single 7950. I would personally wait for a 8800GTX.

With a single 7950GTX your not going to be able to run those at max settings. Just FYI. This is from someone with SLI 7950's and a Core 2 Extreme 2.93Ghz.

wow wow wee wow...i just noticed that the Dual 7950 GTX's are... a tad bit pricey. Jeez. Yet another problem to throw into the list...

Sigh...Ok. I figure I'll just go with the alienware since their Dual 7950GTX is much cheaper...So...I just canceled the sager to save some money and have decided as a FINAL one that i am going to order an alienware.

Thank you guys for your help
