    Hello folks!

    Am about the order a Dell;

    Intel duo 1.66ghz T2300
    1gb of 533mhz ram
    5400rpm harddrive

    But I don't know what graphic-card I should pick, I got this options:
    Ati X1300 with 128mb
    Ati X1400 with 256mb (this will cost me and extra 75$).

    I don't know what graphic-card I should pick! I will play;
    GTA San Andreas
    Half Life 2

    Do you guys have a opinion about it?

    Greetings from a Swedish notebook-fan =)

    If you can afford it, always go with the better video card in a laptop. Since you can't upgrade down the road, you're stuck with whatever you have until you replace the whole system, so future proofing actually makes sense here. The X1400 is a faster clocked version of the X1300, and since neither are top-of-the-line cards, the faster one will definately play smoother. The extra RAM is important too...

    Definately, that setup looks very well balanced. You should be able to run at native resolution with high settings in HL2 and San Andreas, so it looks perfect for your needs. BF2 shouldn't be a problem either, although BF2 tends to need a lot of memory and may need to be run at Medium Textures just from my recollection (High Res. Textures don't really make the game look a whole lot better, but they tend to cause hitching issues--there are several BF2 optimization guides that are worth checking out to get the right balance of settings on that game, which isn't really what one could call "well-optimized"; we are talking about EA Games after all ;)).

    I would go for the X1400 GPU. Since you'll be playing BF2, the X1400 would be a large advantage if you can afford it.
