For First person shooter it's Half Life 2 and Episode One, for RPG it's Knights of the old Repuplic one and two, and for Real time Strategy it's Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium wars.

    I can't wait for BlackMesaSource.

Original HL with a full source engine remake, should be sweet. I enjoyed HL2 a good bit, but the original was much enjoyable.

Yeah oblivion got old really fast for me, even with all the uber hacks for skills you normally cant use.

The enemies lvl up as you lvl up thing really sucks I think too.

I liked playing the original half life just because of the innovation it brought around during that time.

Starcraft is my favorite RTS of all time, it just never gets old.

I really liked Deus Ex and KOTOR I (the sequels were both fairly lame on those 2 games)

Tribes 1, with Starcraft and Diablo 2 tied for second.

Although I'm highly enjoying S.T.A.L.K.E.R. at the moment, but I doubt it will hold my attention anywhere near as long as any of those 3 did.

Anyone remember the System Shock games...I remember playing the 2nd one and at times, the game would actually give me a good scare. Of course I was a lot younger then.

I second Medieval 2: Total War. Never gets old to me. So, so deep and playing through a full long campaign takes days and days.

Penumbra Overture Episode One: excellent thriller that can be found at torrentspy.com or other bittorrent sites. Also, it's not quite as graphically demanding as other games like Oblivion or FEAR but the haziness is extremely effective in creeping out the player. Don't get me wrong though, the graphics are still excellent.
