    Thermal grease to graphic card

    im installing a graphic card on my laptop right now, and i found thermal grease residue on the graphics card. Do i need to apply thermal grease to the graphics card just like the cpu??

    Yes, clean the old stuff up thoroughly with alcohol or proper cleanser, then reapply thermal grease.

    A lot of gpu's use a thermal pad on laptops. if this is the case, you can not remove it and just replace it with thermal paste. They use a pad if there is a height difference. Thermal paste alone would not fill the gap between the heat sink and the gpu.
