I know it's a little too realistic for comfort, but this is the kind of game I have been waiting for, for a loong time... Enjoy these videos I really think this has alot of potential

    What's the minimum system requirement?
This game looks awesome but I'm not sure if my ATI HD3200 integrated graphic card is going to handle it.

This looks AWESOME. After Grid, I am a CM fan. If the game play is as good as the graphics, I think I have a new target computer requirement...whatever Flashpoint 2 needs :)

I think this is gonna be a smooth game, and awesome to boot... these guys at codemaster have very good products (well coded etc) So its going to run hella smooth!!! :D If you can run crysis at 30 (its all messed up lol) you'll probably run this game at like 60 :)

This game looks amazingly realistic, but I won't be playing it because of it.

I've dealt with to many bad situations, seen people die, and know to many officers, guards, soldiers, EMT's, and fire fighters to want to "play soldier".

Killing people realistically and strategically planning it is not something I care to have fun with.

I'm sure this game will have a following as the engine looks amazing. This is the first game I've seen that is to real for me. I knew they would get there one day. Or I'm just getting old.

Shades of America's Army in this game, it sounds like a stealth army recruitment tool for more bodies to throw into Iraq, Afghanistan and other active battlefronts.

Hmm, anyone able to identify the fighters that overfly the blackhawks in sheer scale cinematic? They don't look like anything the USMC uses.

Game looks realistic, but the plot doesn't.

    Quote from Wiki
    That's a pretty entertaining plot. :D

Looking good, this is one the games I've been following along with Novalogics Delta Force: Angel Falls.

I hope OP:FP2 is a less realistic version of ArmA2.

I was really excited about this as well, reminded me of my Ghost Recon days (not GRAW) but I was reading on there forums and I saw something that made me pretty sad, It was about the multiplayer, this was what i was most excited for but I read that you are going to get like a 3 man squad with you, now this would be all good if they were not...AI. I really hope this is just a rumor i would really rather not have to deal with stupid AI online as well, that is the reason i play online in the first place. It is only rumor, so I hope it is not true. Other than this this game looks fantastic.

I haven't seen that game, but like this one I would look at the videos of it and ask reviews from gamers and soldiers most likely on a military board.

I'd never rule out playing a game, but I'd certainly have to strongly consider if I wanted to currently.

I just can't play some of the games I used to not have issues with :(

I am enjoying Dead Space right now :D

It's a multiplatform game, and it looks alot like BF2 with just full shadowing, better geometry, and textures, so I don't expect it to out of reach as far as requirements go. I'd say it requires an X800/6800 like most multiplatform games do.

OpFlash was one game I played to death. I hope they do this right! Although ArmA was by the same team that did the original OpFlash, I didn't care for ArmA all that much. This one looks good.

I think so. The nose cone comes out to a long protrusion just like on the real thing, and general fuselage shape looks the same. I think they might have overextended the hardpoints a little bit though; it almost looks like a Harrier jet in that regard. Also, I think they made the tail more swept back than it really is, which is what threw me off.

How are the 23s relevant though? It's a pretty old fighter; according to Wikipedia, each one in the Russian air force is in reserve, and I can think of a lot of planes that they'd throw out before the 23s. Also, china received one and made their own version, the J-6, but it didn't go into service, according to wiki. I figure that if anything, Russia would throw out the 27 variant, which doesn't have as long of a nose cone as the ones in the clip.

Though this looks good, I have to say that from what I have seen, COD4 is better. But who knows, I have never played Flashpoint. Just saying, COD4 was one of the most realistic, intense, best looking modern warfare games (or war games) I have seen. This will have a hard time surpassing it. Just my opinion though.

Turd furgeson :D lol... I agree Cod4 is my fav of all time, but it's nice to switch it up every once and a while... plus these are epic campaign maps and simulate real combat, I think its like 64 or even 108 players at a time... Huge open spaces, forests, ocean it's supposed to be kind of a simulation

Going to go with a no on that one. The horizontal stabilizers don't fit, and the Mig-23 were swing-wing aircraft, this looks to be a fixed wing aircraft.

It's closer to a J-8II/J-8D, but the wing surfaces don't match up. Plus it's a single-engined aircraft. The J-7 is single-engined, but doesn't fit either.

I'm going to guess imaginary aircraft created by game designers. :D

I doubt it. It's just a sequel to Flashpoint 1. Although, a modded version of that game was used as a training simulator by some countries militaries.

I hope it's just like ArmA but runs better. :p

    If you've played Flashpoint/ArmA, you'll never call CoD4 realistic.

Back in '05, a few aussie clans got together and had a 70 man match vs AI. That was intense, game lasted around 6 hours.

Oh... Operation Flashpoint 2. This game uses the same base engine as DiRT and GRID. No wonder it looks good. I just hope the system requirements are the same. GRID doesn't really require a super fast system nor a slow one, its requirements are modest.

I can play grid reasonably at 1680*1050 with:
    T9300 (2.5Ghz)
    4GB Ram
    570M Quatro FX (8600GT)

Not sure the exact frame rates, but I never had a problem with it, so I assume 35-50fps.

If it is in fact the same GRID engine with similar specs, the 8600M GT should do fine on med-low settings for 30-50 fps. On GRID I averaged about 40, which was great. Unfortunately, the game has spectacular graphics, imho, which the only way to do it respect is to run on a powerhouse system. I cannot wait till a demo or at least a independent review to find more about the game play. I think something between HL2 and COD 4. Too difficult will not make it a fun shooter for the masses, but then again too simple and it will be more of an arcade.

Not positive which game this post is about (since my internet isn't so great over here the videos wouldnt load), but if it's about the 6 days in Fallujah game (announced recently by Konami), there has been a bit of controversy over it.

While many parents of fallen soldiers are saying that turning a real life event that effected their lives into a video game just to make a quick buck (aren't most war games based off real events?COD anyone?), a lot of soldiers are actually helping build this game. There have been dozens of marines that were actually at that fight who are giving input to Konami and game developers so that the game can be as realistic as possible. They believe that this game gives an opportunity to show what really has/is going down here in Iraq and they want this game to give the most accurate description possible.

I wasn't old enough to join when the war kicked off, so I never saw Fallujah, but I think this is a great idea if it's done right. Every other war has a slew of video games dedicated to it, and with a majority of the American/world population ignorant to what really goes on in war today, this is a good chance to reach out to the wide crowd of casual to competitive gamers.
