Oh I think this just knocked Cod4 of my number 1 spot. I finally got the hang of it and man it's more tactical. You actually feel at times you have to stick together with your troops and use cover in multiplayer instead of running around like a lone gunman in cod4. It really immerses you and makes you feel like part of a war and captures the world war 2 theme nicely.

I adjusted to the weapons and there's a timing to it and I found after 5 day a technique to aim faster and more accurate is when you see the enemy, fire from the hip first when using a machine gun then click the right mouse button to look down the sites and the aiming gets easier. This works very well for me and I'm starting to finish in the top 5 most of the time.

Well I love the multiplayer as for single player finished it and it's on par with cod4 as far as action and making you feel like your playing an interactive movie. The only thing I haven't gotten to play yet is the co op since for some reason I can't access any server and when I try and click the host one it says can't find servers. But yeah I jumped the gun on the first day and thought I wasn't gonna like this one.

This should be game of the year since I don't even touch Fallout 3.

Why not? You're missing out on GOTY :p

Glad you liked CoD5. I had pretty low expectations for it, since it was made by Treyarch and not Infinity Ward. Seems like they did better on this one, although one another forum there were a LOT of people disappointed with it. I haven't tried it yet, guess I'm too busy playing Fallout 3 :D

Not really... All the Call of Duty's were World War 2... it was only CoD4 that was modern day. Besides, I'm not hating on it, just stating what I've read. I haven't played it yet.

COD5 sucks. I mean really....just say no to this one.
    295 posts on the subject.

It could also just be that a lot of people don't appreciate Treyarch for their last Call of Duty game and weren't going to pay for this one :p

Totally agreed! :D I just reached level 55 but I find myself going back to using the BAR rifle + stopping power and having fun with it...
Seems to me that all the LMGs (except the FG42 and BAR) aren't too accurate and feels a bit hard to use (too much recoil?) at medium-long range after you continually fired a couple (3 or more) shots even by aiming down the sights.

yeah I'm loving the BAR right now with same stopping power perk. This was the same weapon I was complaining about on my other post about thoughts after day 1.

I think alot of the haters are like me in that they didn't adjust to the game's learning curve because they're more used to cod4. Once you get used to the timing and balancing tweaks of the weapons then the game gets very addictive. AND FUN AS HELL!

Oh the only prob I'm having and can't find a solution even searching for one online is can't connect to co op server and can't save any favorites in multiplayer. Anyone else have this prob?

hmm... I haven't try coop yet but my favorites works fine.

I'm trying to do the sticky grenade challenge (kill someone by sticking the sticky grenade on their body) now so I chose the "primary grenades x2" perk and started throwing stickies... I thought the easiest target would be those who have the "second chance" perk (lying on the ground with a pistol). So I tried to throw a sticky at the guy who's on the ground and it killed him right away. o_O (not killed by explosion, but by the force of my grenade throw...) I manage to kill him again a few minutes later using the exact same method (trying to sticky him while he's on the ground again) and he got pissed... :p

It's well portrayed come to think of it. Since it was world war 2 era weapons. Over powered bb guns. And It captures the feel of Saving Private Ryan where you see them battle it up close and personal. I miss the flash bang grenade though from cod4.
The tanks are something else. Makes me think of what I heard when someone mentioned the tank as the most feared weapon from a infantry point of view.

Yes, tanks, uh, can be used.
