I never got to play beta version so when I got it I was blown away. Happy to say the least. I was gonna hype it since my emotions were high initially, with single player and more so multiplayer, but now since playing it non stop for almost the whole saturday, I've found that it doesn't have that oomph that COD4 has. When you kill someone it doesn't have that satisfaction. It's way harder to aim. And the weapons just seem weak.
The graphics are well done though and the engine was tapped to it's potential, this is how Crysis shouldve been programmed to work on consumer hardware.
But after one day the excitement for me has died. I don't feel that addiction to multiplayer like I do in Cod4, again it's because the weapons feel weak and unsatisfying, no big explosions. I know they had to recreate the feel of WW2 weapons but in the video game it just feels like shooting a weak bb gun especially in single player I don't get that satisfaction of the kill.

Sorry to hear that and I guess this game really isn't for everyone. Haven't tried singleplayer but I've been playing the multiplayer since the day it came out and I love it. (especially the maps)
I was having so much fun just now in this crazy game so I thought I would share it here... (sorry, couldn't resist...lol) Check out my kill/death ratioWas using my sten + extended clip.

seems like a fun game
i think im gonna get one
both COD4 and COD WaW
(i was pre-occupied with C&C3 and KW and GRAW last year when COD4 came out)
strange thing is; COD4 is more expensive than COD-Waw.... will there be a price drop soon? -
Don't get me wrong, COD WAW isn't a bad game at all, the multiplayer is slower more strategic pace and maybe because that's why I have to adapt. Infact, I just bought Fallout 3 and I don't even bother with it, along with my other games just because I mostly find satisfaction with COD4 multiplayer and before COD WAW that's what I was only playing. Now I got variety with the gameplay I love. Besides these 2 games the others don't really hold my interest.

Guys, you MUST complete the Single player.. Epilogue has a Zombies survival map, i loved it more than Left 4 dead xD

This game just feels like CoD3, if anyone ever played it. Let's hope Infinity Ward does a better job.

From the thoughts i see in here, People want a Modern COD , if we look at both COD4 and COD5, we can see that COD5 is superior technically, (Much better physics, more deep Graphics, and you get the feeling that you have killed someone when you do it.. Blood Splatter and Cutting Organs) but people want to use modern weapons.
if there was a mod to make modern weapons on the same Modified Engine as COD5, that would be great, but i still like the standard COD5 weapons though, you just need to find the right one for you. -

What I really love with this game is the Coop campaign. Other than that, Cod4 > Cod5.
The coop campaign made it a worth purchase though, imo. -
ok, can you guys point where Cod4 is > Cod5? because Simply i cant see that (played Both)
-
I can't see any difference between the gameplay, cod5 plays exactly like cod4 except it is superior in graphics.
-
yup, Graphics are better, and physics aswell, but i liked the Banzai guys
-
It's based on Word War II, so of course the guns are weaker and not as high-tech. Still a fun game though.

I preferred the atmosphere of CoD4. The game guided you more in the campaigns, making it feel much more like a movie. The storyline was also pretty good. CoD5 feels more like a standard FPS, with more obvious spawning points, NPCs repeating phrases in general etc.
CoD4 also felt slightly more realistic in my opinion, since some battles felt like there were only a fixed number of enemies, and other battles were of a much larger scale. CoD5 differs in the way that even the smallest forces you're with will encounter a seemingly infinite flow of enemies. -
hmm... for me in multiplayer I definitely like the maps in COD5 a lot more than the maps in COD4. The COD5 maps are a bit larger, more stylish and seem to give me a stronger "I'm fighting in a war" feeling...
If you guys tried some of the later unlockable guns such as the MG42 in multiplayer (not sure if it is the same in singleplayer) I don't think you would say it's weak...That thing (in COD5) fires faster at default than the M249 SAW in COD4 and I even tried it with double tap for fun. It's very hard to use but at close-medium range (if you know how to aim) it's insane...

Still havnt finished single-player, but so far I think cod4 had a better story, that may change.
Multiplayer is fun and I think as good as cod4, but in a different way. I still need to level up and find out what kind of perks and weapons that fits into my way of playing the game.

I like the game but it's just frustrating that the shot detection is broken. I mean how many times do I have to hit someone before he dies, it's already frustrating trying to put the sights on someone even with my gaming mouse and low ping. And this isn't only on multiplayer. In single player I shoot a guy point blank and it doesn't register unless you unload half the magazine on him. It still has a lot of bugs that they need to fix. I know world war 2 combat is up close and personal but this needs to be adressed.

the zombie mode is a great addition
