Just purchased the new refresh Sony FW-490-JFT laptop, which comes equipped with the ATI 4650.

How well does this hold up to other gpus?
Is it easy to overclock to the speeds of a 4670?

As long as it can handle Starcraft 2, I will be happy...

    thanks for the feedback

Its pretty good, the HD4650 is better than the nvidia 9700gt. OF COURSE it will handle starcraft2! :D, I hope this helps.

no way your going to over clock it to 4670 level. that's a full 125mhz on the core. you'll get about 50mhz out of it.
still very powerful though, i agree with mexicansnake.

I must wonder why you bought the notebook before inquiring about the competence of the GPU.

I mean the GPU wasn't the only thing I was looking at in terms of components for laptops. I do most of my gaming on a PS3 so it doesn't matter much to me. I was just curious as to the limitations to this newer series ATI card is all
