I'm pretty sure no one on the internet is playing this game, which is kind of a bummer, because it's like a delightfully low rent Half-Life 2. In fact, if you took Half-Life 2's story, FEAR's time mechanics, Serious Sam's enemies, and Far Cry's radar/weapon limitations, you'd get Timeshift. The game has pretty much liberally culled mechanics and ideas from just about every successful shooter of the past decade and rolled them all into a fun if asinine little title.

I'm enjoying the crap out of it. I can't be the only one, can I?

no you're not the only one, i played the game couple of months ago and had alot of fun with it, i really liked the apocalyptic world settings and time-shifting mechanics, it's defenitely a great game, but these days gamers are way too dependent on reviews so if a game doesn't get a great score they skip it...i really don't blame them, there're a lot of great games around and you can't buy all of them, so sometimes you have to make a choice, but that's what demos are for, right!!.....i know...we're living in a harsh world..

I rented it for 360, played 3 minutes and never player it again. It was bad, good graphics, lame controls, boring storyline.

I finished it last week. It goes by surprisingly fast. Its a bit too easy though. Especially the final boss battle.. not fun at all. But its always enjoyable to Time Stop and take their gun

I thought the game was entirely too linear and boring. The storyline was much too vague and I never really understood the plot of the game or the ending. :(

If you enjoyed Half-Life 2, I invite you to reexamine the parts I boldfaced.

I'm not making you a specific target so much as suggesting that one of the most beloved FPSes in the past decade is guilty as sin of these same things. The only one I thought was really worth any of the hype the series has is Episode Two, ironically.

Half-life 2 wasn't repetetive or boring, the game featured many styles and elements of gameplay and combined them very well, everything thing from horror-survival elements(ravenholm level had more scares than doom3), team-based shooting, vehicle sections, interactive story sequences, huge variety of intimidating enemies and neat weapons and mechanics(gravity gun anyone!!), need i say more?
yes sure, episode 2 was superb, but HL2 is still the best game in the series and it defenitely was worth those 6 years of waiting..
